March 2025 Kindle Unlimited Books I Read and Loved
Whirlwind by Kayla Grosse
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Tropes: Age gap, forbidden romance, professor/student, storm chasing, workplace
Steam Level: High
Why You Should Read It:
- A unique setting that revolves around storm chasing across Oklahoma
- A swoony, broody hero who’s also her very off-limits professor
- Serious adrenaline + sexual tension = sparks flying
- Emotional angst paired with undeniable chemistry
Finley is a grad student with her sights set on becoming a top-tier storm chaser. Her idol? The legendary Ryker West—who also happens to be her new professor. The age gap is real (he’s 42, she’s in her mid-20s), the power dynamic is complicated, and the storms they chase? Totally life-threatening.
What starts as professional admiration quickly spirals into forbidden attraction when a high-stakes tornado chase breaks all their boundaries. If you’re into messy, intense, emotionally-charged romances with a fresh twist on forced proximity, this one brings the heat and the feels.
Hot Vampire Next Door by Nikki St. Crowe (Books 1–5) by Nikki St. Crowe
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Tropes: Vampire romance, enemies-to-lovers, fated mates, touch her and die, supernatural politics

Why You Should Read It:

Jessie is supposed to pledge herself to a powerful vampire family… but her smoking hot neighbor, Bran Duval, kind of derails those plans. Their connection is all heat and danger from the start, but as the series goes on, it becomes clear Bran is more than just the local bad-boy vampire. And Jessie? She’s not your average human either.
This series is messy, hot, dramatic, and completely addictive. Think reality TV energy meets dark paranormal vibes. If you want something that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still brings the emotions and steam, you’ll devour this.
Slaying the Vampire Conqueror by Carissa Broadbent
Genre: Fantasy Romance
Tropes: Enemies-to-lovers, forbidden romance, assassin heroine, morally gray hero, slow burn
Steam Level: Medium
This was the March 2025 League of Lusty Ladies Book Club pick!
Why You Should Read It:
- A deadly assassin heroine with a tragic backstory and serious grit
- A warlord vampire hero who’s supposed to die—but keeps getting harder to kill (and harder to hate)
- Part of the Crowns of Nyaxia universe, but works as a standalone
- For fans of The Bridge Kingdom or From Blood and Ash
Sylina is a weapon for a goddess cult, sent to kill the vampire conqueror Atrius before he can take over their lands. But when she joins his camp as a seer, things get complicated. She sees visions of his past, the horrors he’s survived, and maybe—just maybe—the good still inside him. Too bad falling for him would betray everything she’s ever believed in.
This book is heart-wrenching in the best way. It’s about power, loyalty, and finding humanity in unexpected places. If you like forbidden romances with battle tension, emotional weight, and a slow-burn payoff, this one’s for you.
