There’s something so satisfying about a Bridgerton hero who doesn’t just make you swoon, he makes you laugh. It’s In His Kiss by Julia Quinn brings charm, clever banter, and a perfectly matched pair in Gareth St. Clair and Hyacinth Bridgerton. If you’re in the mood for a witty, feel-good Regency romance, you’re in good company here.

What is It’s In His Kiss about?

It’s In His Kiss by Julia Quinn follows Gareth St. Clair, a man blindsided by family secrets and simmering resentment, and Hyacinth Bridgerton, the youngest sibling with wit to spare. When these two collide, sparks fly, words clash, and the romantic tension builds to some truly unforgettable kisses. Beyond the wit lies a story of self-discovery, trust, and love that softens even the most guarded heart.

It’s In His Kiss by Julia Quinn Book Review

It’s no secret that I love all the Bridgerton men but I also adore the men who marry into the family. Gareth St. Clair doesn’t know who he is. When his father lets him on to a secret that he’s kept from him for his entire life, Gareth doesn’t know how to accept the truth. He becomes bitter, developing a hatred for his father who wishes he never had his second son. The feeling is mutual between the baron and Gareth, because whenever they are in the same room as each other, chaos is a guaranteed event.

Hyacinth is the baby of the Bridgerton clan. I have been anticipating her book for awhile. She is a sweetheart who always has an opinion on everything. It’s enduring and makes me love a heroine who knows exactly who she is. However, Hyacinth didn’t think she could want more in life. She was content, happy even. But when she met Gareth, she realized that he was the one person who could keep her on her toes. Other men would wither in her presence. But Mr. St. Clair had that gleam in his eyes that challenged her and Hyacinth doesn’t ever back down. He shared the same cunning wit as her, the same curiosity and the same tenacity and determination.

While Hyacinth and Gareth battled it out with their words, there was another thing they did with their lips that was so memorable, it became the title of the book. Their kisses were very sweet and memorable. They were probably one of the Best Kiss Moments I’ve read. Quinn does an amazing job of incorporating emotion into these scenes so that they are not only about the physical act of kissing, but also the merging of souls and the leap of faith needed to make a romance bloom.

There is only one more book in the Bridgerton series and I am saddened to say that it’s the end. What am I going to do now?

I know. Reread are in order. Because I know that no matter how many times I read this series, I’ll fall deeply in love with each again as if it were the first time I read them. They are just that good.
