Let’s Talk 2026 Hallmark Fall Movies (And Which Ones to Watch)

I’m more of a Christmas Hallmark movie girlie and that’s why I’m more familiar with watching those. Hallmark starts its fall movies in August and I certainly don’t. My fall mood kicks in in September and that’s also when I want to start seasonal watchlists. And I’ve decided to give the 2026 Hallmark fall movies a try.
This is my running guide to the Hallmark fall movies. The full schedule and my thoughts as I watch them. If you’re not sure where to stream them, I’ll give you some tips there. Feel free to bookmark this and check back for my updates.

Hallmark 2026 Fall Romance Movies

Love Finds You
Saturday, August 22, 2026
A mislabeled package sends a jewelry designer and a delivery driver on a search across the city, and somewhere along the way they fall in love.
Much About Love WATCHED
Saturday, August 29, 2026
A modern Much Ado About Nothing. A TV director goes back to the Shakespeare festival where she got her start and runs straight into an old flame. The plot of this one is cute although it’s one of those Hallmark movies that doesn’t get a ton in terms of setting and can feel one tone. Not my favorite actress, but overall this was entertaining. โ

Falling Into Place
Saturday, September 12, 2026
She comes home for her town’s fall festival and her high school reunion and spends the week with her childhood best friend, finishing the fall bucket list they never completed.
If this one is your kind of cozy, these are the fall tropes I can’t quit.

Pumpkin Regatta Romance
Saturday, September 26, 2026
A boat shop owner’s daughter and a pumpkin farmer team up to end their father’s feud and bring back their town’s Pumpkin Regatta.
A Knight to Remember
Saturday, October 3, 2026
A museum conservator kisses a statue of a medieval knight while she’s cleaning it, and he comes to life in modern Chicago.
This is based on Bryn Donovan’s Her Knight at the Museum, and I really enjoyed that book. When I read it, it felt like the modern and more romcom version of A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux. If you want to read it before you watch, there’s still time to do that. Check out my review of Her Knight at the Museum. Highly recommend both of these books!
The Spirit of Halloween
Saturday, October 10, 2026
A bridal designer who hates Halloween gets visited by three spirits of the season who are determined to change her mind. It’s basically A Christmas Carol but make it Halloween.
If a friendly ghost is your favorite part, these are ghost romances that are more cozy than creepy.
Hallmark 2026 Fall Mysteries
Hallmark is not all about romances, we also get some great cozy mysteries. And these are the perfect entry point for romance readers who haven’t tried cozies yet.

Prelude to a Wedding (Haunted Harmony Series) WATCHED
Saturday, September 5, 2026
An American music teacher living in Ireland is invited to play at a wedding, and a member of the bridal party ends up dead. She investigates with Eamon, the ghost of a composer who haunts her cottage. This is the fourth in the series (my thoughts on those later in this post). After binging the whole series this year, this was probably one that took the longest to get me hooked on the plot. โ

Haunted Harmony is based on Alexia Gordon’s Gethsemane Brown mysteries. The first book is Murder in G Major, if you want to try these out.
Murder Takes the Stage
Saturday, September 19, 2026
Jennifer’s true crime book club is reenacting the Lizzie Borden case when one of the members is murdered and she ends up investigating.
The Garage Sale Mysteries started with Suzi Weinert’s novels, Garage Sale Stalker is the first one. And if it leaves you wanting even more bookish related murder solving, check out these cozy mysteries set at bookstores and libraries.

Want To Track Your Seasonal Watchlist Without Losing Your Mind?
If you are already mentally sorting which of these you have watched, which ones you want to try, and which are automatic rewatches, this is exactly why I created the Bookmarked Notion template. It lets you log what you watch, rate it, and keep seasonal collections like “Christmas movies to binge this year,” plus mark which titles are based on books so you can go back to the source material later. Plug all these into it and you have a ready made holiday dashboard for the rest of the season. Oh and you can also track your books too.
The Best Hallmark Fall Movies I’ve Watched So Far
Like I said before, Christmas is my main Hallmark season, so this list is not as extensive for now. But I’ll keep building on it as we go. However, these are the ones I recommend you catch playing anytime.

Autumn in the Vineyard โ

It stars Rachael Leigh Cook and Brendan Penny and premiered on Hallmark in 2016. They also did the trilogy (Summer in the Vineyard and Valentine in the Vineyard). This is based on Marina Adair’s St. Helena Vineyard series, which was a favorite here at Under the Covers. You can read Angela’s review of Autumn in the Vineyard from back in 2013. And if you like the setting, pick up even more vineyard romance books.
Fourth Down and Love โ

Second chance romances always get me (in books and movies) and this one was about the one that got away. A star football player gets injured and goes to stay with his brother and runs into the one woman that broke his heart. Single mom and having to face the hard decisions of her past. This feels perfect for Thanksgiving bringing the football vibes (not just pro but kids too) and I enjoyed them together.

Haunted Harmony Mysteries โ

This is such a fun cozy mystery series of movies with beautiful scenery. One thing that stands out about these is the budget for locations must be much higher than a lot of other Hallmark movies. I love the ghost sidekick and the amateur sleuth with the classic love triangle situation. I’m probably partial to the inspector. Each one is a fun cozy mystery and as an elder millennial, I love seeing Tamera Mowry-Housley star in it too.
The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries โ

If you like fall mysteries, check out the Aurora Teagarden movies. They’re based on Charlaine Harris’s series by the same name. Eleven mysteries starring a small town librarian who keeps getting pulled into murder cases.
This is a series that I never got around to reading by the time I picked up Sookie Stackhouse, but I’ve enjoyed watching several of the movies. Hallmark rebooted the series in 2023 as a prequel with Skyler Samuels. The first in that was Death at the Diner. If the movies have you wanting to read the book, the first one is Real Murders.
What are your favorites?
Let me know in the comments what are your favorite Hallmark Fall movies, I’m always looking to add more to my list. And if you want even more seasonal recs for your watchlist, check out the fall movies and tv shows that are must watch and on repeat every year.
