Happy Sunday! So the other day I saw @sentrancedje Happy Sunday! So the other day I saw @sentrancedjem rave about this new release and I was just in the mood to pick it up. I’m about 3/4 of the way through and although I’m enjoying it, I do have some thoughts. Maybe unpopular opinion. 🤦🏻‍♀️ . . First, I think if you liked old school Colleen Hoover you’ll probably enjoy this story. Writing is different but the angst and story is similar to those. . Second, I haven’t read this author before so I’m not sure if it’s the style of writing but this book has a ton of unnecessary every day life type of scenes. I think we could’ve gotten the same effect even cutting about half of what I’ve read so far. . But maybe that’s just me. I do like my stories a bit more fast paced. . Anyway, I’ll have my final thoughts on this one later this week on the blog. . . How about you? I just picked up the #audiobook for THE EMMA PROJECT by Sonali Dev this morning and while it’s the first I’m reading in the series, it’s a series I’ve been meaning to tackle for years. So I’m super excited to get into it. Even if out of order. . Do you often read books in the proper series order, do you look at that at all, or are you more of a rebel and just don’t care? .
