Biker Werewolves: Meet the Magnus Pack by Shelly Laurenston

Combining two of our favourite things at Under the Covers; sexy werewolves with really big, vibrating…..engines is The Magnus Pack trilogy by the amazing Shelly Laurenston. Involving psychotic crazy women with friendships that only death will get them out of and some seriously hot biker werewolves it is a must read for Paranormal Romance fans, especially if you are looking for something to make you laugh like a loon and leave a massive grin on your face. Heads up! Don’t start reading these books in public unless you’re okay with strangers giving you weird looks when you burst out laughing!

What is the series Magnus Pack by Shelly Laurenston all about?

The Magnus Pack series by Shelly Laurenston is a fun mix of humor, romance, and action set in a world of shifters and paranormal drama. Expect fierce, independent women who end up with their destined mates, even if they start off fighting like cats and dogs. The alpha males are protective and sometimes a bit possessive, which just adds to the fireworks. There’s plenty of witty banter and laugh-out-loud moments, along with some serious action and adventure. As the characters navigate pack politics and rivalries, they form deep bonds and create their own kind of family. It’s a wild ride with a lot of heart and the perfect treat if you’re looking for a paranormal romantic comedy.

Absolutely! I always say if you’re trying a new sub-genre of romance, go for a comedy. It’ll make the transition a bit easier I think. And paranormal romantic comedies are less heavy on the mechanics of the world, giving you a taste of the paranormal in an easy to digest package.

What paranormal creatures can we find in Magnus Pack by Shelly Laurenston?

This is primarily a werewolf series. But one thing that stands out about Shelly Laurenston is that she’s able to bring some of the personality traits that we associate with those animals into the behavior of her characters. I especially love when she dives into bear shifters in her Pride series. But in Magnus Pack you can expect to see:

• Werewolves: Central to the series, werewolves are the primary shifters, with the Magnus Pack being a prominent group.
• Tigers: Specifically, Siberian tiger shifters like Nik Vorislav.
• Other Shifters: While the series primarily focuses on wolves and tigers, other shifters and paranormal creatures are hinted at and sometimes make appearances. We get to explore more of other shifter species in the Pride series.

Are there any connected series?

This is only a trilogy so it’s an easy one. However this series is set in the same world as the Pride series and it is recommended that you read Magnus Pack before reading Pride. Mandatory? Not really. You can enjoy both series even if you read out of order.
