5 Authors You’ll Love If You Like Kristen Ashley

I am a huge fan of Kristen Ashley and I’m not the only one. She seemed to explode into the romance community and most people have at least given one of her books a try. Her mixture of uber-alpha heroes with an allergy to personal pronouns in favor of endearments and story lines that go into the everyday almost as much as the main plot line have a Marmite type of affect on people; you either love it or hate it. But, whatever your opinion, you can’t deny Ashley’s popularity.

This popularity has left readers with a hankering for something just as tasty as what Ashley has to offer. As one of those people who fell in love with Kristen Ashley, I can relate. Her books – especially her earlier works – charmed me.

Here at UTC, we can be a little old skool. Most of our favourite authors have been around for years and not many new series make it into our auto-buy lists. Yes, I’m giving you a bonus here! Janet Evanovich is not a romance author although you’ll find romance throughout her series as a minor plot point. But what you can get is the chaotic KA vibe. The sense of found family in the Stephanie Plum series is endearing, the characters are more than lovable and there is probably going to be an explosion of some kind at least every other book. Plus, in an interview we did with Kristen Ashley years ago we asked her for a character from another authors series that Indy and her Rock Chicks would hang out with. Any character! And she picked Lula from the Stephanie Plum series (read the interview here). Plus Ranger is totally a Kristen Ashley alpha male. I think it’s safe to say if you like Rock Chick, you’ll love Stephanie Plum.
