If you’ve been craving a dark romance that gives you both female rage and devoted hero energy, Rage by Nia Myst absolutely delivers. It’s gritty, sexy, and surprisingly emotional, a story where violence meets vulnerability, and a billionaire hero falls headfirst for the woman who could kill him…and probably would if he deserved it, but wants to protect him instead.

What Is Rage by Nia Myst About?

When Dominic Park’s sister is assaulted, the billionaire vows to find her attackers, only to hit wall after wall. His last hope? The Wildcats: a secret network of five vigilante women who operate outside the law to deliver justice when the system won’t.

Enter Samaira, code name Crimson Tiger, the Wildcats’ fighter and resident nightmare of every man who thinks he’s untouchable. She’s fierce, ruthless, and very much used to working alone. But Dominic insists on joining the hunt, and somewhere between tracking monsters and spilling blood, the lines between vengeance and passion blur.

She’s danger in human form. He’s a man used to control. Together, they’re combustible.

Does Rage by Nia Myst Deliver on Its Title?

Oh, it does. But not in the way you might expect. Rage isn’t just about anger, it’s about agency. Samaira isn’t some cold-blooded killer; she’s a woman shaped by trauma, purpose, and choice. Nia Myst lets her be strong, flawed, and fully human. She’s vulnerable and insecure at times, and I loved her for it.

Dominic, meanwhile, is the rare dark romance hero who doesn’t mistake protection for possession. He’s alpha through and through, especially in the bedroom, but outside of it, he lets Samaira lead. He doesn’t want to dull her shine or tame her darkness. Their chemistry burns hot, but their dynamic is built on respect and understanding. He loves her rage as much as her softness, and that balance makes their relationship magnetic.

The vigilante plotline keeps the pace taut, giving you that romantic thriller tension without ever losing sight of the emotional core. The spice (4/5) is intense and deeply tied to character and relationship growth; it’s release, trust, and connection.

The Wildcats Series Is Just Getting Started

Beyond the central romance, the Wildcats team gives this story its heartbeat. Their friendship is equal parts snark and loyalty, and every side interaction builds anticipation for the future books. You get glimpses of their personalities-the tech genius, the medic, the undercover specialist-and it’s clear each woman has her own story to tell.

It’s a series setup done right: Rage feels complete as a standalone, but the world feels too alive to stop here.

Final Thoughts on Rage by Nia Myst

Rage took me by surprise, in the best way. It’s dark, and yes violent, but cathartic, spicy but also tender. It’s about justice, sisterhood, and the kind of love that doesn’t try to fix someone, it stands beside them in the fire.

If you like your romance with badass women who bite back, female rage with a sense of justice, and steam for days, this is one to add to your list. And if this is how Nia Myst is starting the Wildcats series? I’m already ready to rage again.

We still don’t have news on book 2, but I will be updating you as soon as we have a date!
