Your 2025 Christmas Movies Schedule (and My Opinions)

If you also treat seasonal romcoms like a competitive sport, welcome. Every year there are more new Christmas movies than anyone with a full time job and a TBR can realistically watch, which means figuring out what to watch becomes its own project. So I pulled together this guide to the 2025 lineup across Hallmark, Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ so you can actually plan your cozy nights instead of scrolling for half an hour while your hot chocolate goes cold.

This post is your master list of premiere dates, basic vibes and where everything is streaming. I will be updating it through the season as I watch with my thoughts, but first let us break down the schedule so you can highlight your own must watches on your planner, spreadsheet or media Notion tracker if you are a Type A holiday gremlin like me.

Hallmark 2025 Christmas Movies

Hallmark is doing fewer one off movies this year and mixing in more seasonal series, but there is still a packed slate from October through December. All of these premiere on Hallmark Channel in the US at 8/7c unless otherwise noted, with episodes and movies usually hitting Hallmark+ the next day.

Mistletoe Murders WATCHED
Fridays, October 17 to November 21
Year round Christmas shop owner moonlights as a sharp tongued amateur sleuth, teaming up with a by the book detective to solve small town murders in between cocoa refills. I watched this one and if you’re a cozy mystery buff, you’ll probably enjoy it as well. Amateur sleuth vibes but she isn’t quite an amateur. ★★★½

A Royal Montana Christmas
Saturday, October 18
Burned out princess escapes to the Montana ranch she loved as a kid and accidentally falls for the rugged guide who has no idea she is royal.

A Christmas Angel Match
Sunday, October 19
Two Christmas “angels” with totally different matchmaking styles are forced to work together on one human couple and end up catching feelings of their own.

Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! WATCHED
Saturday, October 25
Chronically unlucky weatherman swears this will finally be his perfect Christmas and is immediately hit with a slapstick streak of disasters and a second chance at love. ★★★

Finding Mr. Christmas
Mondays, October 27 to December 15
Reality competition where ten hopeful actors face ridiculous festive challenges for the ultimate Hallmark prize: landing a leading role in a future Christmas movie.

Baked With Love: Holiday
Mondays, October 27 to December 15
Pairs of home bakers turn family recipes into over the top holiday showstoppers for a cash prize and a chance to have their bake featured on screen.

Workaholic CEO gets a Christmas Carol style wake up call on an overnight flight that turns into a high altitude reunion with the ex who still knows her best. If you love the classic story, this was a fun one to watch. And it has plenty of Christmas spirit, but a sweet second chance romance. ★★★★

Serious news anchor gets temporarily reassigned to feel good holiday stories for a young fan and slowly falls for the boy’s exhausted single mom.

Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story WATCHED
Saturday, November 22
Lifelong neighbors and Buffalo Bills superfans team up to track down the mysterious benefactor who helped their family, while their friends to lovers feelings finally break the surface. This was cute-ish. I liked the parts of the story that focused on the family, the hospital, the uncle. All of that more than main couple! ★★½

Melt My Heart This Christmas WATCHED
Sunday, November 23
Ambitious glassblower hiding behind a pseudonym at a Christmas fair accidentally overshadows her mentor and complicates a slow burn romance with the competition judge. The festive is definitely there in this one, but the cheese was also high. There was one scene with a blue coat that literally had me rolling my eyes. ★½

We Met in December
Thursday, November 27
Two strangers share one perfect holiday layover, miss each other the next morning and spend the rest of the season trying to reconnect with only a handful of clues.

The Snow Must Go On

Washed up Broadway actor returns home, steps in to save a high school Christmas musical and rediscovers his love for the stage and a new romance in the wings.

The More the Merrier WATCHED
Friday, November 28, 8/7c
Snowed in rural hospital faces a Christmas Eve baby boom, forcing an ER doctor and a star cardiologist to run the ward together and maybe fall in love on the night shift. This is a sweet story and it has a nice touch of Christmas and snowbound, with lots of small town vibes and found family. But the romance didn’t quite stand out as having tons of chemistry. ★★★

An Alpine Holiday WATCHED

Estranged sisters honor their grandmother’s last wish with a Christmas trip to the French Alps, healing old wounds and opening the door to a mountain town romance. The whole journey is so sweet & it captures the essence of family and holiday with a side of romance too. Plus beautiful snowy scenery. ★★★★

Daughter of a late country legend time slips back to 1995 at the Opry, gets unexpected time with her dad and finds the courage to reclaim her own music and heart.

Injured Marine comes home and coaches a local youth team in the town’s Christmas Cup tournament, finding new purpose and a spark with the no nonsense fire captain helping her.

Christmas at the Catnip Café

She’s Making a List

Top inspector at a Naughty or Nice consulting firm starts questioning the algorithm when she falls for the widowed dad of one of her so called “problem” kids.

Single on the 25th
Sunday, December 7
Woman determined to enjoy a solo Christmas teams up with her happily single neighbor for a week of festive plans, until their committed to being single pact starts to crack.

A Suite Holiday Romance WATCHED
Saturday, December 13
Struggling writer ghostwriting a celebrity memoir at a luxury New York hotel fakes being a guest, then falls for a charming “lord” who turns out to be the assistant. This was a sweet story with a nice dash of Christmas in the city vibes. ★★★½

Sunday, December 14
A church and a temple have to share space when Hanukkah and Christmas Eve overlap, forcing two rival choir directors to co lead one big holiday concert and catch feelings in the process.

A Make or Break Holiday WATCHED
Saturday, December 20
Engaged couple secretly on a break hosts both their families for Christmas and has to fake perfection until they remember why they wanted forever in the first place. ★★★

Sunday, December 21
Queer couple unexpectedly caring for a baby left on their doorstep days before Christmas considers fostering to adopt while juggling a booming holiday business and a very tiny wildcard.

A Merry Little Ex-Mas WATCHED
Wednesday, November 12
A separated couple agrees to one last family Christmas in their old house before the divorce, which would be simple if his new girlfriend did not show up and old feelings around the tree did not explode. If you want family chaos and lots of sweetness, with a side of unhinged younger boyfriend for comedic relief, you’ll want to add this one to your watch list. ★★★½

Champagne Problems WATCHED
Wednesday, November 19
Corporate shark sent to acquire a French champagne brand accidentally falls for the heir before she knows who he is. Expect vineyard views, holiday lights and work versus love angst. You just have to watch this one! Christmas in France, you end up having a one night stand with the son of the man you need to convince to sell you a business. It was delightful! ★★★★

Jingle Bell Heist WATCHED
Wednesday, November 26
Two small time thieves target the same London department store on Christmas Eve and end up forming an uneasy partnership that slowly turns into something more amid balaclavas and twinkle lights. This one definitely delivered on the fun (and not super complicated) heist, but also full of cute feelings. But some reason the holiday spirit felt a bit low. ★★★

My Secret Santa WATCHED
Wednesday, December 3
A single mom in need of a paycheck disguises herself as an older male Santa at a luxury ski resort, only to fall for the manager who has no idea who is under the beard. I guess the lead actress from Virgin River is turning into queen of Christmas too. This was adorable and go strong women doing anything for their kid! ★★★½

New 2025 Prime Video Christmas Movies

Prime is going for both messy family comedy and snowed in cabin romance this year.

Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy
Wednesday, November 5
A New York fashion designer follows her almost boyfriend to Colorado, then discovers he is actually engaged and ends up stranded in a snowstorm. She is rescued by a broody local and has to rethink what she wants from work, friends and love.

Oh. What. Fun.
Wednesday, December 3
The mom who always holds Christmas together finally taps out and disappears for a solo holiday adventure, forcing her very chaotic family to figure out how much emotional labor she has been doing. Big ensemble, emotional comedy and an excellent soundtrack.

A Very Jonas Christmas Movie on Disney+

A Very Jonas Christmas Movie
Friday, November 14
The Jonas Brothers finish a London tour and just want to get home to New York for Christmas with their families. Naturally, it turns into a full holiday odyssey with musical numbers, cameos and some brotherly feelings that need to be worked out before Santa lets them land.
