Fall is up on us, for those of us from the UK who are always a little fuzzy on what exactly Fall is…it’s Autumn, which means it’s time to say goodbye to the sunshine and to greet cold winds and rain. Again, if you’re from the UK, we’ve been doing that all summer… But, it is the perfect excuse to curl up with your favourite blanket on the darkening evenings and lose yourself in a book. So, we thought we would show you the books we are most excited about for the season and give you a peek into what we will be reading this Fall/Autumn. So settle in with your apple cider or hot chocolate and enjoy some great fall reads.
Her Last Goodbye
by Melinda Leigh
This is my discovery so far of 2017, I love this series. This romantic suspense/thriller has all the intriguing elements of a detective story with some romance and family drama thrown in. I can’t wait to read more, not only of this series but of Melinda Leigh.
Without Merit
by Colleen Hoover
I’ve talked a bit about this book in my Top Shelf Reads recommendation, so you know one of the things I enjoyed about this book (and some of Hoover’s previous work) is how it makes you take a step back and just think. A simple narrative, addictive words, and emotionally engaging. I think this is a book that will be enjoyed by a wide range of readers.
Haunted Blade
by J.C. Daniels
This is something to get your blood pumping and your heart racing! Not only because of the action that Daniels puts in, but the steamy romance and all the intrigue going on. Love this book and this series, it’s a great addition to my Fall reading.
Bountiful
by Sarina Bowen
I’m a huge fan of this series and I can’t wait to get my hands on this one. We’ve met the heroine in previous books in the series. She owns the local bar and has become a good friend to the women of this series. I’ve always liked her and can’t wait to see what her story will be like. Plus… baby fever! I’ve been reading a ton of unexpected pregnancy books lately. LOL
The Ghostwriter
by A.R. Torre
I enjoy Alessandra Torre’s writing and I think she excels at writing darkly seductive plots. This one just sounds so alluring I’m drawn like a moth. Must read!
Holiday Wishes
by Jill Shalvis
Shalvis is always a great author to read if you’re looking for a fun and cozy read. This novella is packed with holiday fun and endless banter. A feel good read to keep your spirits up until the Christmas holidays, this is definitely a book you need to check out!
Duke of Desire
by Elizabeth Hoyt
As the last full length book in the Maiden Lane series, I highly suggest checking out this series if you haven’t already. Filled with dark scandal and action-packed scenes, this entire series stand out from all the other Regency Romances I’ve read this year.
Ready for Wild
by Liora Blake
This is the third and final book of Liora Blake’s Grand Valley series out at end of October. This is a fun contemporary series that seems to have the city-to-small-town feel. So far the first two books of the series proved to be fun and a good light weekend reads. If you’re looking for a quick feel-good romance to read, give this a go. Blake has become a favorite of mine.
Renegades
by Marissa Meyer
Although I haven’t personally finished reading the Lunar Chronicles series, I do enjoy Marissa Meyer’s writing a lot. This one just sounds like a lot of fun! Extraordinary abilities!! YES!
Hardheaded
by Kim Law
I love, love Kim Law’s book and I’m so very excited to get more of her work to read. She is one of my go-to authors for contemporary romance. Hardheaded is the first book of Deep in the Heart series and focuses on women empowerment, love, and sisterhood. This one has a home renovation theme as well. I’m betting the settings will be a lot of fun. Can’t wait to read it!
Killman Creek
by Rachel Caine
It’s all about the thrillers and the action for me this fall and Caine’s Stillhouse Lake series fits that perfectly. This is a creepy thriller about a mother protecting her kids and herself from the serial killer she unknowingly married…even when he’s behind bars. It’s nail biting stuff!
A Rancher’s Heart
by Vivian Arend
The Six Pack Ranch series by Vivian Arend is among my fave cowboy romances, so I was really excited to see a new series coming out and it was a no-brainer to add this to my reading list.
The Trouble with Twelfth Grave
by Darynda Jones
Things have been growing bigger and bigger in Charley Davidson’s world, the biggest being the major twists and turns that have happened in the last few books. Although still lighthearted and funny, Jones has really upped her game with this series and this particular book is amongst my favorites in the series. This series is definitely not one to be missed!
Wilde in Love
by Eloisa James
Ah historical romance, I’m such a big fan of the genre, but I haven’t read much Eloisa James! Something I intend to rectify by giving her new series a chance this Fall. I can’t wait to dive in and fall in love with some new heroes and heroines.
So Over You
by Kate Meader
This is another women empowerment and love themed series. Three sisters staying afloat in a man’s world of ice hockey and finding love. I love Kate Meader’s realistic approach on women in a man’s world. Meader is also good with sexy contemporary reads, and this is another series I would recommend for a quick weekend read.
Constant
by Rachel Higginson
That.Blurb! I’ve become a fan of Rachel Higginson in the past year or so and this book just sounds like it’ll have a hint of danger that I’m in the mood for at times. Can’t wait to see what she does with this.
