Fall is up on us, for those of us from the UK who are always a little fuzzy on what exactly Fall is…it’s Autumn, which means it’s time to say goodbye to the sunshine and to greet cold winds and rain. Again, if you’re from the UK, we’ve been doing that all summer… But, it is the perfect excuse to curl up with your favourite blanket on the darkening evenings and lose yourself in a book. So, we thought we would show your our recommendations for the seasons and give you a peek into what we will be reading this Fall/Autumn. So settle in with your apple cider or hot chocolate and enjoy some great fall reads.
[new-release title=”Lady Claire Is All That” author=”Maya Rodale”]
What better way to greet the Autumn but with a warm and witty historical romance? This series so far has been excellent and I expect the third book to be just as good.
[new-release title=”Four Weddings and a Sixpence” author=”Julia Quinn”]
It’s always a bit dicey starting an anthology, you are never quite sure what you are going to get…will there just be one gem? Or will you be lucky enough to have a full book of enthralling reads? With such good authors I’m fully expecting to enjoy every novella.
[new-release title=”Shadow Silence” author=”Yasmine Galenorn”]
Although Yasmine Galernorn has been a round for ages, this is the first series of hers that I have read…and I love it! I can’t wait to get stuck in to the second book in the UF series, the first book was haunting and full of romance, I’m hoping for a similar experience with this book.
[new-release title=”Barbarian’s Heart” author=”Ruby Dixon”]
Ahh, one of my favourite genres, Sci Fi romance, I read the first 8 books in this series in about a week and I loved it. I can’t wait to see what happens in this sexy alien romance series.
[new-release title=”Savage Mafia Prince” author=”Annika Martin”]
Dark, dangerous and sexy. The perfect adjectives for this series and I can’t wait to get stuck in!
[new-release title=”Blood Vow” author=”J.R. Ward”]
This book needs no intro, it’s J.R. Ward and set in the Black Dagger Brotherhood world! But if that wasn’t enough, the first book in this Legacy series was so kick ass and has left us wanting a lot more from the new recruits.
[new-release title=”Winter Halo” author=”Keri Arthur”]
I feel like I always know what I can expect from a Keri Arthur book whenever I pick one up. You’re always guaranteed some good worldbuilding and a kickass heroine plus a good dose of sexy time and who doesn’t want that? I’d say this is another definite win from Arthur.
[new-release title=”Duke of Pleasure” author=”Elizabeth Hoyt”]
The Maiden Lane series is the top Historical Romance series to beat. Every book in this series has quickly become a new favorite.
[new-release title=”Heartless” author=”Marissa Meyer”]
It’s a new Marissa Meyer book! And it sounds like so much fun. A fairy tale inspired, prequel to Alice in Wonderland and about the Queen of Hearts.
[new-release title=”Dead Cold Brew” author=”Cleo Coyle”]
I’d say this is a definite must read if you’re a little more adventurous with your mysteries.
[new-release title=”Keepsake” author=”Sarina Bowen”]
This series feels like the perfect fall read to enjoy sipping your apple cider, and this book in particular is so sweet and emotional it’ll warm your heart.
[new-release title=”The Operator” author=”Kim Harrison”]
After the kick ass start of this series, THE OPERATOR is without a doubt one of my most anticipated books of 2016. Can’t wait to finally get my hands on it.
[new-release title=”When All the Girls Have Gone” author=”Jayne Ann Krentz”]
I admit I’ve never read this author before, but the blurb and the cover, as well as the fact I’ve wanted to try her forever, has me itching to get this.
[new-release title=”Rules of Contact” author=”Jaci Burton”]
Because we all need a little steam in our fall reading, Jaci Burton and her Play by Play is the book of choice.
[new-release title=”Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis” author=”Anne Rice”]
I close out this list with Anne Rice because… ANNE RICE! This brings me back to my teenage years… sigh.

Looking forward to reading the True North series
I wasn’t a big fan of book 1 of the Yasmine Galenorn series but I’m going to give book 2 a try.
I want to start Black Dagger Legacy.
I still need to read book 2 and 3 of the True North series by Sarina Bowen.
I won an ARC of Rules of Contact which I plan on reading as soon as I catch up on this series (currently on bk 10).
All your wishes by cat adams, grim expectations by amanda m lee, shadow marked by jasmine walt
Just finished Mr President by Katy Evans. Really enjoyed this one. The fact that it ends with a bit of a cliffhanger is tempered by the fact that there is already a release date for the second part!
That’s a great variety. I’ve of course got the JR Ward on my list already, but I want to read the Jayne Ann Kraetz too.
I’m waiting for Dragonspawn as my big fall release need to read.
Highly recommend Jayne Ann Krentz. I started off with one book of hers, then had to read everything she ever wrote, including those under her pen names Amanda Quick and Jayne Castle (and Stephanie James to a lesser extent). Particularly liked the Arcane Society series as they’re entertaining and well-written, but particularly because it’s a series with mixed genres – the first one is historical, next is contemporary, next is futuristic/urban fantasy, etc. And that’s just how I like to read! :- )
