I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.

I just finished reading The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare and I loved the banter between Emma and Ash. They are hilarious together!

OOOOH, great topic, I love sexy banter. My absolute favorite author for sexy banter is Emma Chase, I’ve read all her books and loved each one, but Tangled stands out above the rest. My second favorite is Helena Hunting and her Pucked series. My third favorite is Christina Lauren. They outdid themselves with Dating You/Hating You, it was fabulous. I’m glad to see Elle Kennedy/Sarina Bowen made the list, the WAGs series is really, really good.

I can be won over so quickly when an author employs the sexy banter and wit in stories. I’ve only read Cole and Bowen/Kennedy on your list, but I do hope to read Clayton and also Six of Hearts at some point.

I love Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen! I love hockey books and they write them together and individually.
I wish you’d write those, I don’t have the patience to watch YouTube. I hope Lauren Blakely made the list, she’s awesome!

I don’t know if dirty talk and sexy banter are equivalent, but Damon Suede’s HOT HEAD can’t be equaled in that regard!
Kresley’s books are amazing for everything, banter just being one element. Alice Clayton, Daryanda Jones, Tiffany Reisz, all have amazing banter also.
Shelly Laurenston, Sawyer Bennett, Julie James, and Lani Lynn Vale would be good additions.
Six of Hearts is fantastic. And I love Kresley Cole!! Some other authors that do a good job are Jeaniene Frost, Lisa Kleypas, Sophie Jordan, Kerrelyn Sparks.
Alice Clayton was the author who popped into my mind first! I can remember laughing out loud so much reading her books! I would also add Christina Lauren and Sawyer Bennett! They both have some great sexy bantertoo!

I’ve read and totally agree with most of your recommendations. The one I haven’t is the LH Conway series. I’m checking that one out right away, it sounds awesome!!!

Lauren Rowe. As Exhibit #1, I offer up ‘Ball Peen Hammer’. Don’t be fooled by the title. The book is a riot from Page 1.
