Trope: Tearjerker
There are few things I love more than a story that can rip my heart out and stomp on it a few times. Whether that be in book or movie form, I always seek out a tearjerker. Granted I have to be in the mood for it, but I crave this feeling. Does that make me a masochist? I think it’s impressive when an author can draw out that much emotion from me about fictional characters and situations. The harder the author crushes my heart, the better!
