The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson
It’s a story of a runaway princess only to be pursued by the prince groom and an assassin. In this trilogy, she undergoes not only getting to know the two men who will have a big part in her story, but she also transforms from a very naive princess into a fierce warrior worthy to rule all the lands. I could only say that this world is amazing, the characters vivid and I did nothing but fall in love with everything. There is romance, suspense, action, and a touch of magic and prophecies that made the story very interesting. It came as a surprise, but I was sad to find out that the series was indeed only a trilogy. The only consolation is that all books are out, so recommending to binge this series is not a problem. I promise, if you like young adult fantasy rich in world building, kick-ass heroine, and loveable heroes, this is the series for you.
Note:
There is a spin-off of this series; the same world, different characters. I will admit, Dance of Thieves is a good read, but not as good as it’s predecessor. There’s only one book that has released so, only time will tell.

The covers are very pretty. I’m not a big fan of YA but I love everything else you used to describe the story so I may branch out and give these a try.
