This is the book I didn’t know I needed this week. I had no clue a new Midnight Breed book was coming out and it’s not just ANY book. This is the conclusion of this beloved #paranormalromance series! @laraadrianbooks is one of the best pnr authors and if you haven’t read this series, you got lots of great books ahead of you. I’m not going to give spoilers right now but so far I’m loving the book. Loving the premise, the hero and heroine, and the fact that we are revisiting previous couples as well. It feels like saying goodbye to family but in the best way. Now I’m just gonna go keep hyperventilating about Lucan. That is all.

Happy Sunday! So the other day I saw @sentrancedjem rave about this new release and I was just in the mood to pick it up. I’m about 3/4 of the way through and although I’m enjoying it, I do have some thoughts. Maybe unpopular opinion. 🤦🏻‍♀️

First, I think if you liked old school Colleen Hoover you’ll probably enjoy this story. Writing is different but the angst and story is similar to those.
.
Second, I haven’t read this author before so I’m not sure if it’s the style of writing but this book has a ton of unnecessary every day life type of scenes. I think we could’ve gotten the same effect even cutting about half of what I’ve read so far.
.
But maybe that’s just me. I do like my stories a bit more fast paced.
.
Anyway, I’ll have my final thoughts on this one later this week on the blog.

Another day, another #currentlyreading post! Yes, I seem to be getting through these books faster than ever this week and I’m so happy about that! I just picked up the #audiobook for THE EMMA PROJECT by Sonali Dev this morning and while it’s the first I’m reading in the series, it’s a series I’ve been meaning to tackle for years. So I’m super excited to get into it. Even if out of order.

Do you often read books in the proper series order, do you look at that at all, or are you more of a rebel and just don’t care?

I’m a strict order reader, usually. But the occasional mood reading binge happens and here I am today.

Any Royally series fans? What a delicious treat we got! I just finished reading ROYALLY REMEMBERED by @authoremmachase which I highly recommend if you’ve read the series. This collection of short stories revisits some of our favorite characters and let’s us see some of those important moments in the characters lives. Like slices of life that shaped them and are bound to break your heart a bit.
