It's the start of another week and today it feels

It's the start of another week and today it feels a bit heavy and hard to get through. But I wanted to give you a recommendation if you are looking for a good book to get lost in.⁠

A DARK AND STORMY KNIGHT is a seductive marriage of convenience, one night stand, enemies to lovers.⁠
.⁠
This is book 7 in the Victorian Rebels historical romance series. Having read this series from the beginning and always recommending these books, I can still say you could read this one as a standalone pretty well.⁠
.⁠
For fans, we've been waiting for Chief Inspector Morley's story since THE HIGHWAYMAN came out. As usual with Ms. Byrne's stories, I was lost in this world and with these characters. Completely swept off my feet. I love seeing a stoic and controlled hero completely fall apart for the right woman.⁠
.⁠
I admit I was expecting this story to go a little "darker" but in the end it didn't. However, it starts off with a bang (hehe literally) and your interest only grows the more you continue reading. I loved these characters and how perfect they were together. I was even ok with the insta-lovey feel of it, which is usually not my favorite.⁠

Great world, main characters, side characters chemistry and writing. You name it, this delivered. ⁠
