What to read, what to read? I’m stumped.

I’m trying to decide what to read next after finished and loooooooving A GOOD GIRL’S GUIDE TO MURDER by Holly Jackson. I’m thinking...do I just go straight to the second book? Or something completely different. I’m tempted by the second book, but, then I have to wait until September until the third. I hate waiting!

❓QOTD: How do you decide what to read next?

Also, if you saw my stories this week you would have seen my jack-in-the-box/extruding penis story. Just an update...I am working on the rec list of all my fave alien romances that involve a hero with a penis that just....pops out his body when horny (hence the jack-in-box analogy lol!)

Thanks for the push to read this one the other day when I asked in my stories. I had the impulse to read it out of order because I still have book 1 on my TBR, but it sounded so good I couldn't help myself.⁣

So what did I think?⁣

It's a cute enemies to lovers with a special *ehem* arrangement. I love the fact that the heroine is a widow and I immediately found it endearing that the hero obviously had a crush on her for years and just didn't know how to make it happen, or if he even had a chance. There's good character growth while also delivering a fun story.⁣

TO LOVE AND TO LOATHE is just a cute historical romance that I think would be perfect for someone looking for something to read after Bridgerton. Plus look at that cover! I need this one for my shelves ASAP. Full review will be on the blog soon.⁣

I’m so annoyed! I used the wrong setting to take this shot which has blurred the cover of the book a little. I tried to retake but they were all crappy so I decided to just go with it.

It’s especially annoying as I am looooooving A GOOD GIRL’S GUIDE TO MURDER by Holly Jackson. I’m #currentlyreading it and it has completely grabbed me. I adore Pip our heroine of course, but what has really enthralled me is the method of story telling. The story is being told in a mixed format of transcripts, logs and prose. This mix of formats really draws you in to the premise of Pip doing this as a school project and it has me hooked.

And guys, I am not a YA reader. I avoid avoid avoid as pffft...teenagers.....yoooouth. So, if you’re like me and avoid YA I would say give it a try anyways, you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise.

This is just me getting all doe eyed thinking about Tobias Rhodes from ALL RHODES LEAD HERE by Mariana Zapata.

Contemporary romance isn’t my favourite genre. I wouldn’t say it’s my least favourite sub genre, that hallowed spot belongs to either dark romance or new adult depending on my mood. But, it’s not something I gravitate to. Unless Mariana Zapata is writing it. Then I’m all over it.

There’s just something about her grumpy, stoic and tender hearted heroes and her heroines, women who always have this amazing well of inner strength that get to me. The gradual slow burn of their romance from enemies, to friends, to soul mates. It’s delicious and I’m here for it.

Anyways, I’m in the midst of a feverish reread of all her books. I’m currently half way through WAIT FOR IT.
