THE BRIGHTEST STAR IN PARIS was one of my most anticipated releases of the year! I fell in love with THE WIDOW OF ROSE HOUSE and couldn't wait to read more in this world. This latest book is about the brother of the hero in the first book and if you read and loved that one, then you'll absolutely love this one. Plus you'll get lots of cameos from the first couple. At the same time, this is perfectly fine as a standalone.⁠

Where THE WIDOW OF ROSE HOUSE was more of a haunted house ghost story, THE BRIGHTEST STAR IN PARIS is a bit more SIXTH SENSE and "I see dead people". I was swept up from the beginning with the story and our main characters. And Ben is probably going to make it on more beta book boyfriends lists. A beautiful story with a second chance romance.⁠

Just a girl that can't drink enough coffee today to get her day going. I fell so behind on work last week because of running errands for the home reno that I'm drowning in my to-dos this week. But here's to a great Monday and a good week for all!⁠

I finished reading NO ORDINARY CHRISTMAS by Belle Calhoune and binged the whole MINDFUCK series by S.T. Abby over the weekend. So all in all, not a bad reading weekend for me. Today I'm reading THE BRIGHTEST STAR IN PARIS by Diana Biller and re-reading ECSTASY UNVEILED by Larissa Ione while I wait for my new washer and dryer to be delivered. :) Oh and yes, do some work LOL⁠

It's #sundayshelfie time! And actually I just wanted to talk about a book that's on my TBR for this Fall, KINGDOM OF THE WICKED by Kerri Maniscalco. I love this author and I can't believe I didn't read it last year when it came out. I'm so excited to start it and that I got a SIGNED copy of the second book, KINGDOM OF THE CURSED, from @booksamillion⁠

Also, quick reading update. I told you guys about the Mindfuck series yesterday and I have now finished all 5 books in the series. I haven't binged books in such a long time but I honestly couldn't stop with the cliffhanger at the end of each one. Perfect story of a FBI agent falling in love with the serial killer he's hunting. And what a badass that the serial killer was the heroine. Loved it and highly recommend it.⁠

In the meantime, I had to come give you guys this recommendation. I picked up THE RISK by S.T. Abby on a whim yesterday after I saw @kissthepages recommend it. It's been a while since I've read this type of romance and it fits the theme of my TBR this month perfectly. So I started reading thinking I'll only read book 1. This is a series of 5 books (novella length). I am so invested and enjoying it so much that I'm already on book 3! I can't wait to see how it all turns out.⁠

Happy Fri-YAY! I'm happy to report I've been actually doing quite a bit of reading so far this month and I'm so excited about that. Am I sticking to my original TBR? Not really. But I'm happy with the mix of books I've read so far.
