Blood Heir by Ilona Andrews
My favourite book of 2021 so far! And honestly, I think it will just become my favourite book of 2021 in general once we get to December. Is that because I am an Ilona Andrews superfan? I don’t think so although my objectivity may be suspect. However, I believe that BLOOD HEIR stands for itself. This was action packed, funny with a heroine that managed to be both relatable and kick ass. Then, we have the romance aspect which was just germinating in this book and I can’t wait for it to grow in future instalments. So, if you haven’t already, pick it up and give it a try.
Quiet in Her Bones by Nalini Singh
If you want a book that keeps you guessing to the end, this is the one for you. We all know Nalini Singh as the queen of paranormal romance, but she has now ventured into the thriller genre and nailed it. QUIET IN HER BONES was a unique read where you are never quite sure what is real, it’s a read that will keep you on your toes!
A Stranger in Town by Kelley Armstrong
This is book six in the Rockton series, so if it intrigues you – which it should, it’s excellent – then go back to the first book and start from there, this isn’t really a series that should be read out of order. It’s a thriller that takes place in a closed environment, an environment that is just as deadly as the people surrounding our main characters.
