When a Rogue Meets His Match by Elizabeth Hoyt

I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book for such a long time! I had some high expectations, but Hoyt really impressed me with the unique premise of this book. While not typically my style, this story excited me and opened my eyes to a different style. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas

In the past, Kleypas has written some of my all-time favorite heros and in the sixth book of the Ravenels, Kleypas pens another amazing one in Tom Severin. At first glance, I wasn’t sure that he would do it for me, but I love the gentle and slow romance that blooms between him and Cassandra. There’s no doubt that Kleypas writes beautiful romance and this one is no exception.

Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare

As a fan of Cassandra Clare and this world for many, many years, I wondered how she would be able to reinvent herself yet again in the first book of The Last Hours series, but somehow Clare is able to write another compelling story that gives loyal readers like me a sense of familiarity with the world, but it’s still different enough that it’s still unique. With amazing characters and worldbuilding, I always find myself looking forward to a Clare release every year and this one didn’t disappoint.

Death of a Wicked Witch by Lee Hollis

For two months in a row, my top read has been my Lee Hollis. I guess there’s no denying now that they are my favorite Cozy Mystery author. Since this one had a Halloween theme to it, it was extra fun and I enjoyed reading about the mystery and the characters. I really can’t recommend this series enough. Do yourself a favor and read it!

Death of a Blueberry Tart by Lee Hollis

As soon as this book fell into my hands, I started to read it. I can’t help it. I can’t resist a Lee Hollis book! I love the characters and the mysteries that these two fabulous writers create. There’s such a charming nature about all the characters, but what keeps things interesting is the fact that you don’t know who is behind the murders. It can be anyone! And Lee Hollis always manages to keep me on my toes no matter what the situation may be. There’s no wonder why they are amongst my top favorite Cozy Mystery authors!

Irresistibly Yours by Lauren Layne

The thing I like about Lauren Layne’s writing is that she comes up with some intriguing premises and this book had one that hooked me right in. While I do sometimes like some books more than others, this one was a delightful read that would be great to enjoy during the summer. After this, I will definitely be looking to read more of Layne’s writing.

This book turned out to be a lot better than expected. With interesting characters and some intriguing mystery, EGG DROP DEAD kept me glued to the pages. I liked this book so much that it’s become me favorite in the series and if you haven’t tried this series and love Cozy Mysteries, particularly foodie ones, then you definitely need to pick this one up!
