Mindf*ck TV Series Adaptation: Everything We Know So Far

The Mindfuck series by S.T. Abby has completely taken over BookTok, so of course Hollywood finally noticed. A TV adaptation is officially in the works which means soon we’ll get to see Lana and Logan off the page and on screen. Here’s everything we know so far about the Mindf*ck TV series: from who’s involved to whether it’ll follow the books.

The Mindf*ck TV Series Is in the Works

According to Deadline, the Mindf*ck TV series adaptation is being developed by Amazon MGM, with Sophia Stallone attached as producer and lead. It will be executive produced by Sylvester Stallone and Keleigh Teller, alongside S.T. Abby’s family.

No release date has been announced yet, but this is officially in development, and that alone is huge.

I also talked about this in one of my live shows over on Youtube. Here’s the clip where I break down everything we know so far.

Will the Show Follow the Books?

That’s the million-dollar question, right? There’s no official synopsis yet, but according to the Deadline article, the series is based directly on the Mindf*ck series. That’s a good sign, and there’s even more reason to feel hopeful when you look at who’s behind the project.

Sophia Stallone isn’t just a producer, she’s a reader. She runs an online book club, co-hosts a bookish podcast with her sister, and is currently writing her own romantic comedy. On Instagram, she shared:

“This story means everything to me. Not just because it’s a brilliant, adrenaline-soaked, heart-wrenching masterpiece…but because of the woman who wrote it. Christie Cunningham, also known as S.T. Abby, gave readers a character in Lana Myers that we will never forget. She gave us permission to be furious, fearless, complex, and feminine all at once.

To the fans, who love this story fiercely: I see you. I am you. This one’s for all of us.”

That kind of passion from a producer makes a difference. She’s one of us, and hopefully that means the Mindf*ck TV series adaptation will honor what made the books so unforgettable.

The Mindfuck books are violent, shocking, and unapologetically dark, not exactly your standard TV thriller formula. Will the adaptation tone it down for mainstream audiences, or lean into the raw intensity that made the series go viral? Until more details drop, all we can do is speculate (and maybe manifest that they don’t ruin Lana’s rage-fueled arc).

Mindf*ck TV Series Cast

As of right now, no official casting has been announced for the Mindf*ck TV series. (Yes, we’re impatient too.)

While we wait, I’ve put together my own dream cast picks for Lana and Logan because half the fun of an adaptation is imagining who could possibly bring these characters to life. You can check out my fantasy cast for the Mindfuck series and let me know what you think of them or if you would cast differently.

How Readers Are Reacting

BookTok and dark romance corners of the internet are already lighting up with reactions. People are nervous, rightfully so, but also extremely excited to finally see Lana brought to life. If the adaptation does the books justice, it could be huge.

For me personally, I’ve always said this would be amazing to see on the big screen and I’m excited to see that come to fruition. I am quite hopeful that this is the right combo (studios, producer) at least from what I’ve seen they’ve done before with adaptations. Having a fan and a reader leading the charge is always a good sign. So I remain hopeful and I cannot wait to find out more.

And considering how passionate this fandom is? We’ll be watching every update like it’s evidence in an FBI case.

Final Thoughts

Like most of you, I’m both excited and a little nervous. The books are brutal, emotional, and completely addictive so the Mindf*ck TV series has big shoes to fill. But if they do it right, this could be the next dark romance obsession we’ll all be screaming about on social media.

So tell me… are you excited for the Mindf*ck TV series adaptation? Nervous? Do you have a dream cast of your own? Let me know in the comments.
