When it comes to Contemporary Romance holiday books, there’s always one person I think of – Jill Shalvis. In my opinion, Shalvis always has the perfect recipe for the perfect holiday read. There’s charm, sexiness, and a whole lot of holiday fun to get you into the spirit. These two books are part of the Heartbreaker Bay series so they can be enjoyed any time of the year, but I especially love them as we approach the Christmas holidays.

Holiday Buzz by & Holiday Grind by Cleo Coyle
These two gems are part of the Coffeehouse Mystery series by Cleo Coyle and I think coffee and Christmas go hand in hand. When the weather is below freezing, there’s nothing better than to curl up with a hot cup of coffee and maybe some close friends and family to really spruce up the holiday season.

This book is actually a collection of holiday novellas from the Play-by-Play series so if you’re looking for something to heat up your cold winter nights, then this is the perfect way to do it!

One Hot December by Tiffany Reisz 
The title says it all. Reisz has released a whole set of books surrounding the holidays so in addition to this Christmas one, there’s also a Halloween and Thanksgiving one. And because it’s Tiffany Reisz, you know it’s going to hella fun!

The Christmas he Loved Her by Juliana Stone
I picked this book because it’s not your typical Holiday book. It’s not cheery and heartwarming like the others. It’s actually quite dark but that’s what I love about it. This one involves a lot of emotional healing and if you’re in the mood for a tearjerker, this is a good one to try. This is definitely one of my favorites from this list.

Christmas in Destiny by Toni Blake
No one does Contemporary Romance quite like Toni Blake does so this return to the Destiny series is especially special because it’s holiday themed! This book is absolute perfection! It has heart, it has heat. And it’s simply a must-read for this time of the year! I even cried a little at the end. She ended the series perfectly!

Dying for Christmas by Tammy Cohen
This isn’t your usual cozy christmas read, instead it’s a psychological thriller that’s bound to put a chill down your spine. It’s a page turner with a fantastic twist, which leaves your reeling. So if you fancy something a little bit different to read over the holidays, then you should pick this up.

Holiday with a Twist by Shannon Stacey
Coming from a strained friendship, our hero and heroine reunite after many years of not seeing each other when she has to come home for the holidays. Their past issues are no match for their bond of friendship they had since they were kids and they quickly reconnect on that level. Things only heat up from there. This is a cute and light story set in a small town and with the always enjoyable trope of one of the characters coming back home after exploring the big city. Add to that the fact that the hero is a bartender at the one local bar and hangout and it had all the marks for a fun holiday read for me. I’m not sure if this is part of a series but I will definitely be on the lookout for stories about Croy’s brothers.

The Heiress and the Hothead by Sabrina Jeffries
I confess I haven’t read this series, or Sabrina Jeffries for that matter, that I can remember. Nonetheless, I love reading holiday historical romances so I couldn’t pass up this novella. No problem jumping into this one without reading the series and it was such a fun setup! The heroine is an American mill owner and the hero is an English journalist who is trying to fight for the rights of mill workers in the worst conditions in England. While they both see the other as a means to an end, they quickly learn there’s more to their connection than that. Feisty heroine and smart but hardheaded hero, I loved seeing them butt heads as well as be tender and sweet underneath the mistletoe. I’ll definitely be reading the rest of this series!

Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan
I discovered Sarah Morgan last year and I was excited to see she would have another holiday book this year. I find these to be perfect for the season because they are extremely sweet and light reads. Miracle on 5th Avenue uses the snowbound trope and leaves out heroine who was hired to decorate an NYC penthouse for the holidays stranded in it with the unsuspecting owner, a moody and grouchy crime writer. The romantic way in which she sees life is the complete opposite to him but by being forced into such close quarters they learn there’s more beneath the surface than their differences. Very cute holiday read that will make you long for snow.

oh these are some great recommendations!!! I did read Jeffries novella last year in a anthology and it was great. I will need to grab up Shannon Stacey’s book. Sounds delightful and she is such a great CR author.
