Welcome to what used to be called just Dom’s Dungeon in our BURNING UP JULY month! Two years ago, we’ve added a few extra categories. Starting off with the Ultimate Book Boyfriend, for the next three days you will meet the nominees of this year. On the third day, you will be able to vote for your favourites once all three nominees have been revealed. Voting will run until the end of the month.

Hero: Garrett Graham

I know, this is the hero from an NA book and I don’t read NA (shh, don’t tell anyone!). I’m also officially too old to be crushing hard on a college boy, but what can I say … Garrett Graham from The Deal by Elle Kennedy was all man to me. So when Annie at UTC asked if I’d be willing to vouch for him in the Ultimate Book Boyfriend contest, I couldn’t say yes fast enough.

I’m going to give y’all four reasons why Garrett is the hero most deserving of your vote (and yes, they all start with H because I’m dorky like that): garrett

Hockey. Garrett is captain of the two-time reigning national championship hockey team at Briar University and the very definition of Big Man on Campus. I loved his cocky swagger, which never crossed the line of being obnoxious or assholery. Garrett was everything my sports-loving self loves in a sports romance alpha hero!

Heat. Garrett is sexy as hell! There is something about dedicated star athletes that just does it for me. Garrett imposes a strict set of rules in order to take care of his leanly muscular body (e.g., only one drink on practice nights, no exceptions), and he definitely knows how to use said body, on and off the ice. {winks}

Humor. Not only does Garrett rock a wicked-hot hockey bod, he has a killer sense of humor too. I loved the snarky banter in The Deal between Garrett and his teammate housemates and the heroine and found myself laughing out loud often. His quick wit was just as sexy and appealing to me as his ripped abs.

Heart. Garrett is an extremely loyal teammate, friend, and boyfriend. He will do anything for those he loves, even if it’s at his own expense. While he may appear self-involved as Mr. Popular to those who don’t know him well, he is anything but. Garrett won my heart a million times over in The Deal and is definitely worthy of being voted the Ultimate Book Boyfriend!

Deal, The

She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy…

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice… even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

…and it’s going to be oh so good.

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

Ohh … I hope you enjoy THE MISTAKE, Jennie! I really liked Logan’s story (after he pulled his head out of his ass, that is ?), and I can’t wait for Dean’s story too!

Amy R

I loved this book and the next book is on my wishlist.

Is this the same Amy R who follows Kindles & Wine? If yes, you might want to keep an eye on your inbox midweek next week, where there may be a chance to win a signed copy of Logan’s book. 😉
