After her mothers’ death, Belle is mistreated, abused and unacknowledged publicly by her father. Her sister Izzie is the one that is expected to marry someone of status and Belle should do everything she can to make that easier. But Belle’s fighter spirit won’t back down and that gets her in trouble. So much that she finds herself kidnapped by G’Aston thinking that he could lure Izzie by trapping her sister so he can break his curse.
THE OTHER BELLE is a great mix of fairytales, while focusing heavily on Beauty and the Beast. Loved the twist that G’Aston is the love interest! Belle is snarky and G’Aston is slightly hot & cold and overbearing at times. The chemistry between them was palpable and I think the author created the emotional connection between them in a clever way. I only wish that would’ve been explored a bit more, without giving away what it is.
I was not expecting Whitney G. to write a fantasy romance but apparently I was just missing that! I can’t wait for her to write more books and novellas in this genre. This was the perfect one sitting read.
