  • Fake relationship

Stella bought a Christmas tree farm and has been hiding the financial troubles they’re in from her friends. So she decides to sign up for an influencer competition that will bring attention to the farm and a much needed cash prize. But she lied on the application about having bought the farm with her boyfriend. The one she doesn’t actually have. Enter her best friend, Luka. He’ll help her get through the competition by pretending to be her boyfriend.

I’ve seen this book around bookstagram since it released and it’s been on my radar and my TBR since. It seemed like the perfect sweet holiday romance. Plus fake dating and best friends to lovers? Love it already. I’m also quite partial to books set at a Christmas tree farm. Must be all the Hallmark movies.

LOVELIGHT FARMS is quite the sweet story! There was something very laid back about it that felt just right to get the season started. It’s also not super heavy on the Christmas feel, even though it’s set at a Christmas tree farm. That might’ve been a bit of a disappointment. But like I said, something good to get a light start on holiday romance reading.

I love a good friends to lovers and Stella and Luka were adorable together. Their friendship and connection was important and came through. The building romance is slow and steady but felt very comfortable. As much as they were a cute couple to get the series started, I also really came to like the side characters and I’m looking forward to reading their stories next.

A word of caution if you get particularly annoyed with miscommunication, just be prepared for some of that in this book. I’m one of those people and it drove me crazy at times towards the end.

in conclusion

Lovelight Farms is a great book if you are looking for a Hallmark Christmas movie like holiday romance that isn’t too heavy on Christmas elements. Perfect read for the month of November! And with a sweet romance and lovable characters.

That tired old miscommunication does bother me.

Thanks for your review.

Thanks for the review, miscommunication is something I find highly annoying.
