“I still do enjoy Blake’s writing style. It’s very free-flowing and simple, making it easy to read. I think if you’re in the mood for a simple, refreshing read, then this might be a good book to read.”
~ Under the Covers
I can’t remember the last Lexi Blake book I read, so I decided that it was time to try her books out. BAYOU DREAMING is book three in the Butterfly Bayou series and although I haven’t read the other books, I felt like I could easily submerge myself in this world.
I will say that I had a little bit of difficulty getting into the characters a bit. I didn’t hate them, but they also didn’t completely win me over like I was expecting. I don’t know if I was expecting more, but I still do enjoy Blake’s writing style. It’s very free-flowing and simple, making it easy to read. I think if you’re in the mood for a simple, refreshing read, then this might be a good book to read. It definitely calmed me when I felt like I needed an escape from reality.

Easy and flowing writing sounds just the thing.
Thanks for the review.
I’ve read and enjoyed other books by Lexi Blake but haven’t tried this series.
