“TENDER WITH A TWIST was truly a sweet romance.”
~ Under the Covers
I picked this book out of order on a recommendation and I’m so glad I did. I’m always interested to see m/m BDSM romances with muscle bottoms and smaller tops and I think Annabeth Albert handled this trope well. And it’s an age gap romance at that!
TENDER WITH A TWIST was truly a sweet romance. We have a kinky submissive lumberjack and an inexperienced Dom finally getting out from under his family’s thumb and trying to run a restaurant. The development of their romance made complete sense, going from a physical relationship to something deeper. There are things for both to work through, feeling and emotions, preconceived ideas of who they should and shouldn’t be with. But ultimately I loved how they followed what their heart wanted without unnecessary drama. If you are looking for a story about lovable characters that are just a little broken and needing love to heal, then this will be the one for you. While I wish I could say this was extremely hot, I think at times it felt to convey that although the scenes between them were nicely done.

Thanks Francesca for the review.
I do like when there isn’t unnecessary angst and its fun when the submissive and dom are an unique pairing.
I enjoyed this one, I listened to the audiobook.
