“a great small town romance and perfect for a winter read with a touch of holidays.”
~ Under the Covers
I was super excited when I saw this book was coming out. I had previously read some winter/holiday books by Jennifer Snow and I generally like books set in Alaska, so I jumped on the opportunity to read this one. This is the first in a new series and features the heroine who is a workaholic surgeon and the hero is her best friends’ brother and works on a search and rescue team.
AN ALASKAN CHRISTMAS has charm from the very first page. Erika is fully committed to her job and nothing else but there’s more to that than meets the eye. She’s forced to take a vacation and decides to work on her friendship with her old college friend, the one she hasn’t really been in touch much for a while, but ends up running into her brother who is tasked with showing her around town.
I’m a sucker for this trope and I think it was done in a very sweet way in this book. To see how their connection had really started when they were younger and how the events in her past pulled her away from so many things in her life. The setting felt like a great part of this book, as well as the profession of both our heroine and hero.
Overall, this was a great small town romance and perfect for a winter read with a touch of holidays. And I’ll definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

I liked this one quite a bit! I agree that it was perfect for the holidays and such a cute romance. I love the brother of the best friend trope as well!
