“Devony’s tough personality is so consistent with the heroines in this genre that it brought back good memories of this series. I think that this element, combined with the new twists in the series, makes the Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian a must-read.”
~ Under the Covers
I can’t believe that BREAK THE DAY is already the sixteenth book in the Midnight Breed series. Lara Adrian pens another fun and exciting story for readers with Rafe and Devony.
Now with so many books already out in a series, often a series can get a little bit old or repetitive. However, I found that with this series, and this book in particular, Lara Adrian is capable of bringing forth stories that are fun and engaging without being too repetitive. Take Rafe’s situation for example. As a former Breed member, he will go through experiences that none of the other characters of this book go through. I really loved this twist and found it to bring so much excitement and intrigue to this series.
So while Adrian does keeps things fresh, there’s also another part of her writing that likes to stay true to the genre and the previous books in the series. For example, I found Devony’s character to be a nice reminder of why I love this genre. It’s been a while since I’ve read a Paranormal Romance, but Lara Adrian and the Midnight Breed series always makes me remember why I love it. Devony’s tough personality is so consistent with the heroines in this genre that it brought back good memories of this series. I think that this element, combined with the new twists in the series, makes the Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian a must-read.
