~ Under the Covers
I was in a pretty big reading slump before reading this book and I guess I shouldn’t have been so surprised to learn that it would be Marie Harte who would finally get me out of it.
CONTRACT SIGNED was one of those books that I expected to enjoy, but I never expected to be submerged into the book like I was. As a fan of this author’s other works, I found that Harte managed to capture the right balance between action, humor, and heart very well.
I really like the concept of this series. It has a touch of Romantic Suspense and Mystery in it, but still keeps that Contemporary Romance tone that makes it easier for the larger audience to read. I liked the hero and heroine. They’re so different from each other, but Harte played with their personalities very well. I liked Noel’s icy attitude but it added some more intrigue to the guys. I am looking forward to reading about Hammer and Deacon’s story next!
I completely breezed through this book because of its well-written action scenes and great banter. I think this is going to be a well-loved series for Marie Harte because it’s something different than the typical suspense novels out there.
