I was very excited to see a brand new spin-off series from Charlie Cochet after falling in love with the THIRDS series. It’s become one of my favorite series and I’m hoping that this one will become a go-to as well.
This book follows Austin Payne, a THIRDS Squadron Specialist Agent for Destructive Delta. He’s also a TIN operative, so you know he’s done and seen some pretty dangerous things. I wondered how easily I would come to love Austin since I enjoy reading about all the characters in the previous series but of course, Cochet makes it immensely easy to fall for these guys.
There’s a good amount of action and suspense in this novel and I think it balances out the romance well. Osmond Zachery, a THIRDS Defense Agent, also made me fall in love with him. I just think there’s always a good balance between the characters in this series whether or not they are Therian or not.
Fans of the THIRDS series will see this as a no-brainer. If you like the lighthearted banter and camaraderie of the first series, then there’s no question that you will enjoy this one too. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what else Cochet has up her sleeve for this one.

When it comes to books I’m pretty adventurous. I read everything from Paranormal Romance to Urban Fantasy, New Adult, BDSM, LGBT fiction, Cozy Mysteries and even YA. If it’s got the littlest trace of romance in it, then I’ll probably read it. That being said, my all-time favorite authors are J.R. Ward and Karen Marie Moning.
When I’m not submerged in a good book, you can find me musing about makeup and planners or dreaming about Kpop boys and beaches. Until then, check out my reviews and let’s talk books!
