Finally! Rain! I never thought I would be so glad to see it. But after an eternity (or at least that’s how it felt) of the scalding hot sun I excited about the return of the dreary English weather. My pale, pasty English-girl skin couldn’t take much more.

But constant rain has its pit falls as I rediscovered on Friday. There I was walking down the road, already soggy from the rain and a car passed. The evil beast aimed its wheels for the puddle next to where I was walking. Next thing I know an avalanche of dirty rain water hit me. I was not amused. I actually shook my fist at the car. I felt like I had landed in the middle of a cartoon.

Sorry about the car splashing you like that. That must have been awful. I do not use a planner. I have before for awhile and then it dies out with me. I should use one again. Have a wonderful week and happy reading!

Mary Sunday Roundup #31!

OMG! It sounds like that was a direct hit from the puddle splasher! He (or she) deserved the finger!

Enjoy all those books, and thanks for sharing. May you avoid the puddles in the future.

I hate when cars do that! It’s even worse when it’s a truck or bus…ugh! I really enjoyed the OTP podcast and the 16 best books so far. I’m looking forward to the pick it for me reviews as well as your thoughts on wild hunger.

I’m glad it rained! Sorry about the soaking, though. When I was a kid, our school bus soaked a woman who was walking to work in a fancy suit. We were little monsters, so we laughed at her. Have a great week. Enjoy your new books.

Yay for rain! I recently learned that wetting a pedestrian with your vehicle is an offense, hopefully it is as well in the UK

Very excited for next weeks post. I don’t use a planner but Roni Loren posted a Youtube channel in her newsletter that did posts on planners that I checked out quickly. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCasYwEzMc7tjKuAS-vtDYPw

I HATE it when that happens! Apparently it’s against the law to splash pedestrians – though good luck with getting that one to stick. I’m intrigued with The Psychology of Time Travel so I look forward to hearing what you think of that one. Have a good week – at least it’s another cool, rainy one, so you should find it easier!

Some drivers are such dicks!! I have used a planner here and their, but I think I do better without one, less pressure for me personally!! S one really great reads!! Shared on all my socials!!

Ugh what a jerk of a driver! That is miserable! We got rain here too, but it was mostly storms so the water evaporated pretty quickly. Enjoy your new books and I love your planner-it looks cute!

Oh man, the cursed blessing of rain.

Definitely some lovelies in that haul. I want to read that Alyssa Cole for sure.

What a jerk! Can’t believe people would do that (well, maybe I can, sadly). That reminds me though- I was in a uni town back in college and had just met a girl, and we were walking around the uni grounds when a bus went by and DRENCHED me. I mean, completely. I was SO embarrassed! Of course now I can laugh about it. 🙂 Anyway… Lipstick Voodoo looks good (I read one of her books and liked it) and The Psychology of Time Travel does too. Just saw a good review for that last week. cool that you guys… Read more »

I’m loving the return of the rain! You think your pasty English-girl skin couldn’t handle the sun, try being a pasty Scottish-girl living in England during the sun! I was actually dying…. I’ve never been so excited to dig out my rain coat and hoodies!

I can’t believe you have a copy of The Darkest Star! I can’t wait to read that. 🙂
