“There’s something about the natural feel of her characters that draws me in and keeps me turning the pages.”
~ Under the Covers
I was so excited we were getting this book because Julian was a side character in SHOWMANCE and was so endearing! That being said, full disclaimer, you don’t need to read that to enjoy this one. It can be read as a standalone.
You know the unique thing about this book? It’s the fact that Ms. Cosway managed to write a book about a male escort and be among those few that can do it without making me either roll my eyes or get annoyed. I genuinely liked Julian and I thought his choice of profession and how he felt about it reflected his life and how he viewed himself. He didn’t see it as a seedy sexual operation but more of a way to help people overcome whatever situation they found themselves dealing with. And that’s what he does for our heroine.
Ellen is very smart and a successful author but no one knows that. She deals with social phobia and because of her job she doesn’t get out much or interact with people. Until she stumbled across a crutch to get through it. Becoming someone else.
I always say I love the heroines this author writes but in this case it was all about the hero. I love how accepting and easy going he is. There is no judgment coming from him about anything and it made him so easy for the heroine to connect with, as well as the reader.
The thing that is always clear to me is, no matter if I enjoy some books more than others, I know I’m always going to have a good time when I read an L.H. Cosway book. There’s something about the natural feel of her characters that draws me in and keeps me turning the pages. And that’s what always excites me about starting one of her new books. Also the reason I’ll never stop reading.
While FAUXMANCE wasn’t necessarily my favorite book by Ms. Cosway, it was an enjoyable read and it delivered that unique flair for storytelling that I know I’m getting with one of her books. Can’t wait for my next fix.

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!
I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.
