The hot hot weather continues in the UK, so much so that I caved and bought a fan. I was ecstatic when it arrived! Finally I could get a good night’s sleep. So, I plugged it in fully expecting to blasted with some blissfully cool air. There I was sat down expecting the sweat on my brow to sweetly evaporate. Nothing. The bloody thing was faulty and didn’t work.
On the bright side, I got my undercut redone and I have a fantastic new pattern cut in. I love it. I encourage anyone who is thinking about getting it done but isn’t sure to take the plunge.

AROUND THE BLOGOSPHERE
Barnes & Noble: Romance Blog is talking about paranormal romance! Although, the books they mention are really urban fantasy but we will let that one slide. Click here to read their 4 reasons to give paranormal romance a try if you haven’t already.
Mel To The Any did a fun tag post looking at the Highest Rated books on her GoodReads TBR. I definitely need to try this myself! Check out her post here.
The NY Times is notorious for not writing good pieces about romance books, but I think they actually had something interesting to say in their Romance Novels Diversity post. Click here to read it.
TOTALLY RANDOM
My mum made this unicorn for my baby niece. However, my dad loved it so much he’s decided it’s his. I can’t really blame him, Una the Unicorn looks pretty damn funky with my sunglasses sipping an ice cold can.

That’s a fantastic haul of books! I do love the hair too. Have a great week and try and stay cool with all the hot temps too.
Your unicorn is fantastic! I used to make amigurumi all the time. I had to stop, because my carpel tunnel is really bad, but I miss it so much. You have so many books up there for me to covet. Dr. Strange Beard, Fresh Catch, and Fight or Flight are all books I would love to have right now. Hope they are all amazing!
Lots of amazing books. I have chopped the back of my hair a few times but never put a design in. I love yours tho! Have a wonderful week!
Mary my #SundayRoundup #27!
Ugh I can’t imagine being in a heat wave without AC. At least nearly everywhere here in the states has AC (except the school I teach at…yeah, No AC in that building and the days we are in school in August are pretty miserable).
Enjoy your books!
I’ve subscribed to this blog for years but rarely comment. mostly lurk. I’m working on more commenting now with the Sunday posts. You’ve got a great book haul. I’m excited for the newest Penny Reid book and The Accidentals. I am currently reading Borrowed Souls and purchased Rogue Souls. Anne – Books of My Heart
Bummer about the fan not working. Ah, cutie unicorn. Look at you with such a lovely haul.
Your under cut is awesome! I let mine grow back out years ago but this makes me want to cut it again. Also, I am super excited about Gabriel’s Inferno trilogy being turned into movies! That just made my day. I love those books.
Oh no, sorry the fan didn’t work! But your undercut is awesome! I love the idea of those kinds of haircuts, but I don’t have thick enough hair to pull it off. My hair would just end up looking really thin and straggly. Ahaha I love that your dad kept the unicorn XD Have a great week!
The unicorn’s adorable!! Shared on all my socials!!
I love your hair! Sorry about the fan. I have fans in almost every room because it gets really hot here in summer. Have a good week!
Great week! Loved the pick it for me books, sorry about the fan but love the haircut
Love the undercut! Hopefully you will get a new fan soon.
Love the unicorn, thanks for the post.
Kindle Unlimited is my best friend at the moment! I’m currently binge reading the Witch Bite series on it. ?
I’m also in the UK and I’m so tired of the heat already… I’m definitely an autumn girl!
I’m so sorry about the fan! Hopefully it cools down naturally soon. Hope you enjoy your new books and have a great week!
Oh my god you posted so much! Damn, you’re good with your blog game haha. Your ARCs look really good too, but I don’t know if I’ll request them (I already have too many). Have a great week!
Great haul
