Suzanne here! So this week….you know you have weeks where you get nothing done? Not even any reading! Welp, that’s been me this week! I am from the UK and we are suffering through a heat wave at the moment. At least I am suffering. I am not built for sunshine. I am built for overcast days, rain and temperatures below 20 Celsius. This on coming week looks to be just as sweltering but I am determined to buck up and try and get on with things. And buy a fan. Or hire a gorgeous man with a huge….palm leaf to cool me down.

TOTALLY RANDOM
Do you ever find yourself using the first thing you have handy as a bookmark? Me too! And it’s so much fun when that something is a cute die cut that just came in with a sticker order! This one was from Grin & Bear It.
BOOKISH NEWS
Fans of Kresley Cole have been waiting for the next IAD book, Shadow’s Kiss. She just announced this week that actually her next IAD release will feature Munro MacRieve. She did not mention SK at all (which is a Lothaire book) so I’m thinking for sure this will be a Dacians novels. No news yet on when it will release.
Gena Showalter announced she has a new YA series kicking off next year. The series title is THE FOREST OF GOOD AND EVIL and the first book, THE EVIL QUEEN, is a Snow White retelling from the Evil Queen’s POV. An origin story.
One of our favorite books of the year, NEXT YEAR IN HAVANA by Chanel Cleeton, was chosen as the July book pick for Reese Weatherspoon’s Book Club. So excited and happy for Ms. Cleeton. If you haven’t read it, now is a great time to start.
There were also some very exciting new covers unveiled this past week: FROM THE GRAVE by Kresley Cole, THE CLIFF HOUSE by RaeAnne Thayne, MORE THAN WORDS by Jill Santopolo, COTI’S UNCLAIMED MATE by Elle Boon, BOY TOY by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby, LOOSE ENDS Vol One by Kristen Ashley, BECAUSE YOU’RE MINE by Claire Contreras, DIAMOND FIRE by Ilona Andrews, LEOPARD’S RUN by Christine Feehan, SHADOW OF THE FOX by Julie Kagawa, DIRTY RECKLESS LOVE by Lexi Ryan, THE CHASE by Elle Kennedy, STORM CURSED by Patricia Briggs, WILD COUNTRY by Anne Bishop and WOLFHUNTER RIVER by Rachel Caine.

Oh my god, this is the first time I’ve been on your blog and it’s just breathtakingly gorgeous! I’m blown away! I am not attractive enough for a gorgeous man nor rich enough for one haha. Have a great week!
Thanks Anne 🙂 I am neither attractive or rich enough for a man to fan me, but a gal can dream!
I would love it, if I lived where the temperature hovered around 20C. Mother nature gave us a treat this weekend with cooler temps, but it will be H-O-T again starting tomorrow. That’s summer in NJ. I have not been CoHo-ed in a while, but am looking forward to All Your Perfects. I am hearing lots of good things. Enjoy all your new books!
All those books look so good. I have A Willing Murder on my wishlist. Your blog looks wonderful! Have a great week!
I love the look of your blog and the Throw Back the Covers theme. I am eyeing that new Colleen Hoover book.
Thanks for sharing and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Bahaha! Still laughing at that huge… palm leaf. 🙂 The one trip I took to England I was all excited for days and days of rainy dreary weather. cooler temps. Bring it on! And when I got there… all I heard from everyone was how it was the hottest May anyone could remember in years. Gah! Oh, and our hotel didn’t have AC. (I didn’t even think to ask about that!) Next time I go I swear I’m going in the middle of winter. 🙂 I’m so excited for All Your Perfects. I’ll be seeing Colleen next month while she’s… Read more »
I really really hope I win the Darkest Warrior! I loved that book! I’m super excited for Archangel’s Prophecy too! Have a great week!
I have next year in havana on my tbr and a friend waiting to borrow it! I love the covers for wild country and storm cursed and for grace draven’s phoenix unbound.
I, like you, am not made for all of this sunshine! Though I do live in California so I had to get used to it lmao. I also didn’t get anything read this week, so hopefully we’ll get some more read next week. 🙂
love the die cut turned bookmark–I’m guilty of using post-its
I love this Sunday recap throw the covers back post!! Great idea ladies!! Shared on all my socials!!
Love seeing your book week at a glance, Suzanne! Zowies, yes it has been sweltering- get that fan, get two! I’m not a heat person, either.
Nice haul you have there. I got Archangel’s Prophecy, too. I’m hoping to get picked for the Grace Draven and the Ilona Andrews ‘ releases.
Fun book mark for the random. My random bookmark this week was a takeout menu.
Have a good week coming!
Um wouldn’t a gorgeous guy with a palm leaf make you hotter not cooler? JS. I’ve subscribed to this blog for years but rarely comment. I lurk. Love the book haul. I also want to get Phoenix Unbound. Anne – Books of My Heart
It’s been stupidly hot here, too. It’s hard to get anything done when the heat makes you feel miserable. I hope you have a good week!
Oh, I’m curious about Gena Showalter’s PNR books. I’m not really a fan of PNR but I want to read The Darkest Warrior. It sounds like a Hades/Persephone inspired romance!
I hope your heatwave calms down a bit! I had heard the UK was getting hot weather!
Gena Showalter’s new YA series sounds pretty good! Lobe the sound of that premise. 🙂
Thanks for the update post, I’m excited for the Loose Ends release by KA.
I don’t really do well with the heat either and it has been so hot here. You added some great books this week. Magic Triumphs is amazing! I hope you like it as much as I did. I have requested Phoenix Unbound so I have my fingers crossed on that one. Have a great week!
Can’t wait to read Cross Breed and Phoenix Unbound
