Burning Up July: Ultimate Book Boyfriend 2018

We have reached the end of the nominations for this week and some may say this is the odd one out for this week because we are not focusing on erotic romance, but on our swoony heroes.  We are talking about our ultimate book boyfriends!  Well, we aren’t again.  We’ve asked some authors to share with us their faves.  Any you recognize?  Don’t forget voting on all three categories will stay open until Saturday and winners will be announced Sunday.  Lets find some new book boyfriends!

COURT LYONS

Nominated by Kerrigan Byrne

My Ultimate book boyfriend is Court Lyons from Staci Hart’s PIECE OF WORK.  He’s a bad ass big-wig at the NY Metropolitan Museum whose body is as chiseled as Adonis. His lips are as sculpted as David. And his ego is the size of the Guggenheim.  When the new intern trips and falls into him, he begins to fall HARD for her. I loved to watch his struggle against a world of expectations and artifice, and finally find the first honest love he’s ever known. The backdrop of the Met created an incredible atmosphere for these two to really create something epic together. Jon Kortajarena has been cast as Court, because he has that perfect mix of cultured, old-money elegance, and raw, masculine sensuality

About Kerrigan Byrne

If you're anything like me, the best night is one spent with a brawny highlander, a mysterious werewolf, a conflicted vampire, or a hot-headed Irishman. My stories span the spectrum of romantic fiction from historical, to paranormal, to romantic suspense. But I can always promise my readers one thing: memorable and sexy Celtic heroes who are guaranteed to heat your blood before they steal your heart. Lose yourself in the enchanted Celtic Isles, you never know who, or what, will find you...

HARRY SULLIVAN

Nominated by Ana Jolene

When it comes to book boyfriends, Bella Andre writes some of the best ones around. Her Sullivans series has been loved by so many readers and it’s for good reason! All the heroes in this series are sexy and lovable in their own way, but Harry Sullivan from EVERY TIME WE FALL IN LOVE has become one of my favorites.

Harry is the type of guy who doesn’t bring too much attention to himself. He has this sense of humility that I found very refreshing but when everyone seems to be falling in love around him, he can’t help but think of his own love life and the things he has lost. EVERY TIME WE FALL IN LOVE is a second chance love story for two characters that deserve it. I really fell in love with Harry because of his realistic emotions and kindness. Although the alpha male type will always be a favorite, there is something so enchanting about a hero who can put a reader into a good mood.

A family man through and through, he takes the surprise that shows up on his doorstep and accepts it with open arms, showing his big heart and even greater capacity for compassion. Take note, authors, the book world could use a lot more Harry Sullivans!

CASSIUS CALLAHAN

Nominated by Annika Martin

My nomination for ultimate book boyfriend is Sergeant First Class Cassius “Cal” Callahan from Firestorm by Rachel Grant. He’s a brave, headstrong Special Ops guy, and so wary and even a little distrustful of CIA agent Savannah (they have to pose as a couple) but he is soooooo secretly in love with her. His slow-burn affection for her is fierce and amazing, and he’s a loyal ally when the chips are down. He’s also great at languages! I nominate Donald Glover to play him!!

About Annika Martin

I love panty-melting books, taking pictures of my cats, 90’s grunge music, saving animals, long baths and See’s chocolate suckers.

I also enjoy hanging out in Minneapolis coffee shops with my awesome writer husband.

I’ve worked a surprisingly large number of waitressing jobs, and have also worked in a plastics factory and the advertising trenches.

My garden is total bee-friendly madness. I also write as RITA-Award-winning Carolyn Crane.

I haven’t read any of these but I may have to change that soon.

Oh, that has to be Sharp from Julie Rowe’s DEADLY STRAIN. He’s a spec ops alpha. As much as he wants to wrap Grace up in bubble wrap and stick her on a shelf, he knows that she is intelligent, capable, and can handle herself. He was a joy to read.

JenM

My latest book boyfriend has to be Michael from The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang. He’s so patient and caring with Stella and with everyone else in his life.

Trix

I know it’s not from 2018, but I just fell hard for Winter in Elizabeth Hoyt’s THIEF OF SHADOWS…and I’m not even a historical fan normally!
