“If you’re looking for a romantic comedy that has some fantastic writing and hero who knows how to talk dirty then you need to give The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl a try.”
~ Under the Covers

When Lizzie is asked to find a wake-up call girl for her exacting, control freak boss, who also happens to be devilishly sexy, she thinks how hard can it be? As it turns out, it is a lot harder than she thought. So she ends up doing it herself. Lizzie isn’t quite the conventional wake-up-call girl and she isn’t exactly nice either. But, he seems to like it. A lot. And it turns out she kind of like his bossiness over the phone and the wake-up calls get hotter and more intimate than either of them ever expected.

It’s already hot here in the UK at the moment, now I have Annika Martin making me reach for a fan as well. Because not only is this book a fantastic romantic comedy, it is a beautifully filthy romantic comedy. I didn’t know whether to be happy or horny. I ended up a little of both. Martin spins us a hilarious enemies to lovers to tale with her signature quirky style, I couldn’t stop reading! When I was devouring this, I looked up and realised a few hours had passed and I was now 70% through with the book. Which was very upsetting as I didn’t want it to end.

What makes this book so sexy as well as so funny was the chemistry between Theo and Lizzie. Sparks fly from their first meeting and their mixture of adversarial and sexy is a compelling read. They can switch from witty banter to some delicious dirty talk effortlessly, leaving you as breathless as the heroine. However, although this definitely draws on the erotic line of contemporary romance, Lizzie and Theo have more than just their sexual chemistry. Their connection steadily grows deeper through the book as they reveal insecurities and secrets to one another.

If you’re looking for a romantic comedy that has some fantastic writing and hero who knows how to talk dirty then you need to give The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl a try. It’s a great read and I can’t wait to see what Annika Martin will be bring out next.

About Annika Martin

I love panty-melting books, taking pictures of my cats, 90’s grunge music, saving animals, long baths and See’s chocolate suckers.

I also enjoy hanging out in Minneapolis coffee shops with my awesome writer husband.

I’ve worked a surprisingly large number of waitressing jobs, and have also worked in a plastics factory and the advertising trenches.

My garden is total bee-friendly madness. I also write as RITA-Award-winning Carolyn Crane.

Gosh, we all seem to be admitting our ages…and I hate that I am at the point in life when admitting my age is a “thing”…whodda thunk it? I was kind of hoping I would remain 21 forever. However, I have moved out of that New Adult stage of my life and am now strictly in the Contemporary Romance age zone of 28. I would prefer to be in an Urban Fantasy arena, but I don’t think I own enough black leather. However, I could probably squeeze into some PNR, I am fully prepared to give a horn job to my favourite demon, or suck on my sexy vamps…fangs and I am definitely up for some heavy petting with some fine looking shifters. Than again their’s always Sci Fi…I am fully prepared to do the right thing and help some poor alien race with more 6 packs than a supermarket repopulate their planet. Not that I am loose woman or anything.

Annnnnd I will stop myself there, before I start waxing lyrical about my love of historical romance and fantasy as well; no one needs to know about my elf fantasies. As you can tell, I adore and day dream about most romance genres, and my three big loves are 1) reading about romance 2) writing about romance and 3) talking about romance with my gals. Which, is why I love Under the Covers so much, I get all my bookish needs satisfied and don’t get judged when I talk about my favourite characters like they are real people. Which they are right?
