“Bec McMaster has quickly become one of my top authors this year.”
~ Under the Covers
I’m so sad that this series is over. This trilogy has been amazing that I wish Bec McMaster has plans to continue the series in a spin-off. If you’re a fan of mysterious, sexy heroes and magic and mayhem, then this series is definitely for you.
There is lots to love with SOULBOUND. First of all, the hero, Sebastian is delicious. I’ve always been a fan of McMaster’s heroes. They are always so alluring and mysterious, giving off that sexy vibe without being too over the top. And although I end up liking all of her heroes, not one is the same as the other, making her books truly something to be admired.
The same goes with her heroines. Cleo has so much interesting characteristics to her that it’s impossible not to be intrigued by her character. I also enjoy the fact that the author takes her time in revealing details of each character, allowing readers to get to know them as if they were real friends. Together, Sebastian and Cleo make a fabulous pair.
And lastly, I have to take a moment to mention the writing. It’s simply amazing. Honestly, I always read this author’s books so quickly because they are just so easy to fall in love with. The writing is eloquent and free-flowing and the worldbulding is never too complex or confusing. There’s really a wonderful balance here. Bec McMaster has quickly become one of my top authors this year and I look forward to reading more of her future books.

When it comes to books I’m pretty adventurous. I read everything from Paranormal Romance to Urban Fantasy, New Adult, BDSM, LGBT fiction, Cozy Mysteries and even YA. If it’s got the littlest trace of romance in it, then I’ll probably read it. That being said, my all-time favorite authors are J.R. Ward and Karen Marie Moning.
When I’m not submerged in a good book, you can find me musing about makeup and planners or dreaming about Kpop boys and beaches. Until then, check out my reviews and let’s talk books!
