I’m being ambitious…I’m picking two books out this time! I had MASSIVE success last time with my Tessa Dare book pick. I started reading A Night to Surrender and then proceeded to read everything I could get my hands on by Tessa Dare. She now has a brand new fan. The success and my upcoming holiday has spurred me on to pick two tickets out of my TBR jar and take them with me.
Drum roll please….. the books I have picked are:
I’m excited about my picks! Francesca recommended Heather Snow to me so I grabbed it…but then never read it, so it will be good to finally read it, I love a historical romance and I’m still flush with success after Tessa Dare in my last pick.
So…it’s time for me to ‘fess up. Way back in 2009 when the first book in the Chicagoland Vampires series came out, I read the first book. But, for some reason I didn’t continue the series…it kind of fell of my radar. So, I’m starting this over again as I can’t remember a darn thing and starting at book 2, 8 years after reading book 1 seems silly.
Also, I discovered I had the paperback! Good job I have heard so many good things about this series as the UK cover is bloody awful. As a self confessed cover-lover, I would never have picked it up otherwise!
We have already reviewed the Chicagoland Vampires series on Under the Covers, so if you want to see what some of the other girls have had to say about this series, take a gander!
What are your thoughts on my picks?
Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill
Veiled Seduction by Heather Snow

Annnnnd I will stop myself there, before I start waxing lyrical about my love of historical romance and fantasy as well; no one needs to know about my elf fantasies. As you can tell, I adore and day dream about most romance genres, and my three big loves are 1) reading about romance 2) writing about romance and 3) talking about romance with my gals. Which, is why I love Under the Covers so much, I get all my bookish needs satisfied and don’t get judged when I talk about my favourite characters like they are real people. Which they are right?
