~ Under the Covers
It should come as no surprise that I’m here recommending a Vi Keeland book. Honestly, she’s become one of those few authors that doesn’t disappoint and meets my expectations every single time. BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE was sweet, sexy and swept me off my feet…. yet again.
I was like no more than addict chasing her next fix the moment this hit my kindle and as soon as I picked it up there was no way I was putting it down. It had me from the very first page. A bit of mistaken identity kicks this book off with a bang at bar where our main characters meet and that fire starts lighting. Then we find our main characters working together the next day. He’s the professor and she’s his new TA. Leave it to Ms. Keeland to work in a trope that you usually see done a certain way and give it her own spin. That’s one of my favorite things about her writing.
I don’t want to give a spoiler so lets just say that with this book giving you some insight into the past at times, it added another element to this story that added the emotion it needed. Remember what I said above? This is more than your typical student/teacher plot. Now, I will say that there was no big surprise at the reveal in the end for me (why is it I can always figure stuff out!) and I found the way it came about a bit far fetched. But if you suspend belief on that one little aspect like I did, you should have no problems with it.
This book had everything I was looking for. Chemistry, sexy banter, swoony hero that has more layers than meet the eye at first, feisty and smart heroine… it was addictively good. The relationship between Caine and Rachel was explosive at times and tender at others. And the writing, as always, kept me engaged and wanting more. If you are looking for something that will keep you glued to your seat while sipping a nice drink this summer, pick this up. You’re in for some fun with this one.

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!
I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.
