“Although this is a novella, Cochet manages to through in action, mystery and humor all into this story.”
~ Under the Covers

As a fan of Charlie Cochet’s THIRDS series, I had to pick this one up to see if it was as good as her other stories and it comes as no surprise to discover that THE SOLDATI PRINCE is amazing. Packing with humor, this short story had me laughing out loud. Riley is your typical human who seems pretty content in his own life until he is chased by strange creatures and later, he learns that he’s the intended mate for the Soldati king. Riley has no idea what this all means or what they have in store for him but his confusion was absolutely hilarious to witness. He’s such a candid guy that you can’y help but relate to his emotions. When you pair that with Khalon’s grumpy attitude, this entire story becomes one wicked ride.

While Khalon can be an asshole at times, he’s actually the perfect match for Riley. I absolutely loved them together. I couldn’t stop laughing every time Riley did or said something to piss Khalon off. He’s just too awesome for words.

Although this is a novella, Cochet manages to through in action, mystery and humor all into this story. I was really impressed with it and I hope that she continues to write more stories set in this world. I would happily read them and fall more in love with Riley and Khalon.

About Charlie Cochet

m/m Romance author by day, artist by night, Charlie Cochet is quick to succumb to the whispers of her wayward muse. From Historical to Fantasy, Contemporary to Science Fiction, no star is out of reach when following her passion. From hardboiled detectives and society gentleman, to angels and elves, there’s bound to be plenty of mischief for her heroes to find themselves in, and plenty of romance, too!

I’m an obsessive makeup junkie and a compulsive reader. I like to call Under the Covers Book Blog my stomping ground, but when I’m not talking about books with my girls, I write New Adult Dystopian and Contemporary Romance under the pen name Ana Jolene (http://www.anajolene.com). I also work as a virtual assistant for authors. You also can find me as a reviewer and columnist for FreshFiction.com.

When it comes to books I’m pretty adventurous. I read everything from Paranormal Romance to Urban Fantasy, New Adult, BDSM, LGBT fiction, Cozy Mysteries and even YA. If it’s got the littlest trace of romance in it, then I’ll probably read it. That being said, my all-time favorite authors are J.R. Ward and Karen Marie Moning.

When I’m not submerged in a good book, you can find me musing about makeup and planners or dreaming about Kpop boys and beaches. Until then, check out my reviews and let’s talk books!

Anyone else getting a Riley=Dex, Khalon=Sloane, Raynor=Ash vibe from the posts/blog tour info? Maybe it’s just me, because I’m only on book 3 of the Thirds series, and my mind is all about the Thirds right now. This sounds like a good, fun read.

Yeah. They def fit the same tone. I think that’s what Cochet is good at. But there’s enough differences that it stands apart from the THIRDS series. Plus, it’s only a novella so I’m sure there will be more development to come.
