“Incredibly romantic and enticingly sweet!”

Spindle Cove is one of my favorite places! Miss Elinora Browning had written Lord Dashwood Missed Out when she didn’t get the guy she wanted. Her childhood friend. After his dismissal, she penned the somewhat bitter love letter and it was published and empowered young ladies all over. She is now on the way to Spindle Cove for a signing and reading from the pamphlet when she has no other resource for getting there than sharing a coach in the middle of the night with a stranger.
Except he’s not a stranger at all. He’s the very Lord Ashwood she wrote that pamphlet about. And he might be just a little upset about having his name dragged through the mud with the success of her pamphlet and wants to know what exactly he missed out on.
Nora now has a backbone and maybe a confidence she didn’t have those years ago. George is a bit of a jerk but with a purpose. He tests Nora’s resolve and when you see the ending you won’t be able to hold back the swoons.
This is a short story so I don’t want to give anything away. I’m always a fan of this series and Ms. Dare’s writing is as always flawless. With all the backstory there is between these two it was easy to see their story develop without requiring as many pages. The winter setting around the Christmas holiday is a beautiful backdrop to their encounter and one of my favorite scenes in the whole story takes place out in the snow. 🙂
Incredibly romantic and enticingly sweet! I loved George and Nora in this short story and after the bit we get to see of Charlotte in this story, I’m now even more anxious to read DO YOU WANT TO START A SCANDAL.

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!
I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.
