Sinners vs Saints Fight Club: Curran vs Roarke

*ding ding ding* Annnnnd in this bout of Saints vs Sinners, we have Curran, Beast Lord of Atlanta representing our Saints and Roarke doing it for the bad boys! Come and watch as they battle it and discover whether it’s the sexy saints or deliciously naughty sinners that gets your pulse soaring, your heart pumping and your knickers melting.

Curran vs Roarke

My first introduction to Curran was on Twitter. He was up against Barrons in some alpha showdown. I just remember thinking that no one could match Barrons.

Boy was I wrong.

I figured if someone was being put up against Barrons that maybe I needed to figure out who this Curran guy was.

I was an idiot.

Curran is by far my favorite hero ever.

He’s the epitome of Alpha Male without being the dreaded “alphahole.” Curran may not seem like a saint at first, but as you get to know him, you start to realize that he can’t stand to see innocents get hurt.

There’s a scene in Magic Strikes where Kate and Curran are in a hot tub, and last minute Kate changes her mind. Curran respects that and backs off, but it’s not until we read the Curran point of view (found here on Ilona Andrews’ website for free

That scene alone shows how much of a saint he is!

But as the series progresses, and Kate and Curran’s relationship grows, we really see what a good guy he is, no matter how many times he says he’s a selfish bastard or an asshole, the reader sees that he’s really just protecting his Pack.

Whether he’s quoting Kate’s favorite book The Princess Bride to her, or kicking ass and basically being awesome, you have to agree Curran is a pretty amazing hero.

When I was looking for someone to show you guys what Curran looks like to me, I see him being so much more rugged than all the beautiful models who pop up in an image search. So I moved to sports, instead of actors and models. And then I found Becks.I think David Beckham makes a great Curran.

He’s famous enough everyone knows what he looks like, so I found some pictures with his game face on instead of the super sexy smolder he usually sports.

Roarke from J.D. Robb’s In Death series remains my all time favorite hero, even after 41 books. When it comes to heroes, Roarke is the standard to which I measure all other romantic heroes. From the way he changed his entire business life to be with Eve, to how he loves her unconditionally, he continues to make me swoon. I absolutely love that Roarke continues to carry the grey button that fell off Eve’s suit at their very first meeting. I’ve always pictured Stana Katic, who plays Kate Beckett on Castle as Eve Dallas from the very first time I saw her. Finding a real person to cast as Roarke has always been almost impossible for me. I’ve yet to find any actor to measure up to Roark’s beauty and perfection, though I do believe Colin Farrell has his voice down perfectly.

This was a tough choice!

I haven’t met either of them but I went with Curran

Me too! But, I really, really, really want to meet them.

Tonya Coleman

I love Roarke!

These two should not have been pitted against each other. Having said that, David Beckham is not Curran! Eric Dane is more like Curran.

WHAT?!?! Why are you doing this? WHY? Pick between Curran and Roarke? You UTC ladies are evil!

Pshew this was soooo much easier than yesterday’s!

I haven’t read either of these, but I had to go for Roarke. There’s just something about a hero who carries his heroine’s buttons instead of pushing them. 😉

Curran all day, everyday! I think I married his twin.
