Take Me All the Way by Toni Blake (Contemporary Romance) – This book…oh man, this book just blew me away! With a roughened hero and an equally tough heroine, Blake composes a beautiful symphony of emotions in this novel. It’s a real contender for my favorite book of the year!

The Veil by Chloe Neil (Urban Fantasy) – I’ve always been a Chicagoland Vampires fan but I think this series might even be better. I call dibs on Liam Quinn!!!

The Drafter by Kim Harrison (Sci Fi) – Harrison’s new series is a masterful blend of Science Fiction and some Urban Fantasy elements. If you’re a fan of Richelle Mead’s Age of X series, then you’ll enjoy this one.

Black Knight Inc. series by Julie Ann Walker (Romantic Suspense) – I went back to reading this series because I wanted something a bit fun. Walker has a very unique voice and I think it only adds to the overall appeal to this series. For a series with swagger and plenty of badassery, you need to check the BKI boys out!  First book is currently FREE!

This month has a ton of fabulous releases that you must get your hands on as soon as they release. In the Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy department there’s already plenty to get excited about. Sherrilyn Kenyon releases the next book in the iconic Dark Hunters series with DRAGONBANE. My favorite writing duo, Ilona Andrews is releasing MAGIC SHIFTS. But there’s also a new UF series I think that is worth the look – THE VEIL by Chloe Neill!

If you’re looking for something a bit more sweet and charming, there’s Tessa Dare’s WHEN A SCOT TIES THE KNOT. But the one I am probably most excited about is PIECE OF CAKE by Mary Calmes. I cannot freaking wait to read more about Jory and Sam!!!!

THE NIGHTINGALE by Kristin Hannah – This is totally not a romance, but it’s such an amazingly beautiful and heartbreaking story.  This month I was in need of some non romance to get me out of my funk and this was amazing!

KING OF HEARTS by L.H. Cosway – If you are not already reading Cosway, then you should.  And King’s story was so amazing!  He’s one of those really broken characters that you can’t wait to see put back together.  Even though you know after all he’s been through, he will never be what he once was.  But that means he’s grown and is now a new and improved version.  Stronger.  And, well… I am completely in love.

HIM by Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen – I do love a good sports romance and this was one of my favorite reads this month.  It’s fun, light and sexy yet it can also be intense and all consuming.  Read this like I was dying to get to their HEA but loved it every step of the way.

AGAIN THE MAGIC by Lisa Kleypas – This was the only Wallflowers book I hadn’t read.  Don’t ask me why, mistake on my part.  I picked up this audiobook and as always with a Lisa Kleypas book, I was hooked from the very first page.  Lovely story!  Must read!

I’ve been a bit behind on my reading so I haven’t read a lot of August books yet.  But I CAN tell you ALL WOUND UP by Jaci Burton I devoured in one sitting!  BROWN-EYED GIRL by Lisa Kleypas comes out in August as well, and it was such a sweet romance, I think you will all enjoy it.  I am looking forward to reading soon SCANDAL NEVER SLEEPS by Shayla Black and Lexi Blake as well as WHEN A SCOT TIES THE KNOT by Tessa Dare.

Brown Eyed Girl by Lisa Kleypas – You can never go wrong with Lisa Kleypas, and whilst I admit this isn’t the best she has to offer, it’s still a quality light hearted Contemporary Romance that I enjoyed reading.

Magic Shifts by Ilona Andrews – LOVE THIS SERIES. I was so excited for this release, I adore this series. And, I was right to be excited, I really enjoyed this book, the only problem is, is that I have to wait a whole year to read the next one.

There are a few historicals that I can’t wait to read this month as well, Tessa Dare’s When a Scot Ties the Knot being one of them. This is a series I thoroughly enjoy and I can’t wait to dive back in!

Of Blood and Passion by Pamela Palmer – Palmer fans, including myself have been waiting for this book for a long time.   Vamp City is a good UF trilogy but sadly under appreciated.  With this last installment, Palmer closed it with a bang giving our H/h their happy-ending.  Hopefully it will get attention as it deserves.
Ricochet by Keri Lake – This dark standalone was a big shock to me as it’s not my typical read but enjoyed quite a bit.  It’s a story of abuse, years of suffering and how love changed everything.  Its genre crosses between dark erotica and romantic suspense.
Montana Cherries by Kim Law – This is a small town romance full of family drama, childhood crushes and characters who find love back in their home town.
There’s a few contemporary books that’s I’m excited about but my most anticipated l reads are Dragonbane by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Blood Slave by Kathleen Collins.  Good PNR and UF books are hard to find nowadays.

Thanks for sharing such a nice collection of books, Actually I am kind of choosy reader and always love to read books from my favorite author Stephen King. But from last couple of days, I was looking for another one which should be the best and I think I got my next favorite book which is Sherrilyn Kenyon – Dragonbane. I’ll shop it very soon after comparing it online that will help me in saving my precious time and money. Many Thanks, Elisabeth Barrett 🙂
