Suzanne and Kate: A Love Story

My love for the Kate Daniel series is no secret, in fact if you enter into any kind of book discussion with me at some point I will recommend you read them and then pester you until you do it. In fact I am sure the Andrews’ owe me a few royalties. I don’t know what it is about them! Actually yes I do, and I am going to regale you with how great it is and why you need to start reading it immediately; it’s my post and I can fangirl if I want to.

Picture the scene, I was on Amazon, browsing, I fancied a new book and I wanted a mixture of action and romance, magic and mayhem, funny and smart and that’s when I came across Magic Bites. Number one in the Kate Daniels series and I decided to give it a try. Best. Decision. Ever.

The rest is history, as soon as I started reading Magic Bites I knew I had found a series that I was going to fall in love with and with each book I just like it more and more, series fatigue hasn’t cropped it’s ugly head, ever. What is it that keeps me eagerly (and impatiently) waiting for more? The humour, Kate, Curran, the world, Curran, the interesting storylines, the action and did I mention Curran? That’s right this series has created two of my biggest crushes; my girl crush on Kate and my book husband Curran.
Coming back to our theme of rereads, the Kate Daniels series is something that I reread on a regular basis, I may dip in and out the series, or read it from the first book to the most recent. Either way I need a regular fix of Kate, Curran and the crew, speaking of which, I think I may pick up Magic Bites!

About Ilona Andrews

Ilona Andrews is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. author2sm“Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.)

Gordon and Ilona currently reside in Oregon with their two children, three dogs and a cat. They have co-authored two series, the bestselling urban fantasy of Kate Daniels and romantic urban fantasy of The Edge.

I’ve got my eye on this series…thanks Suzanne

I reread this series every year and Magic Strikes more than once a year. I also re-read The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs and The Others series by Anne Bishop (well, I re-listen since I have all three books on audio).

Love this series!

Have you read the Innkeeper books of theirs? It has been a free serial & then finished as a book. Great characters!

I think they live in Texas not Oregon.

I’m reading the Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost series now and think I’ll start this one next.
