“Penny Reid has bamboozled me in to really enjoying a  New Adult book (or at least part of one). That woman has wiles.” ~ Under the Covers

I don’t know what to say. I know, it is unusual for me, I normally have far too much to say. But, I think I need to give myself a minute to calm down, one from the frustration, I KNEW there was going to be a massive cliff hanger…yet I couldn’t resist reading it anyway! And two, because once again Penny Reid has bamboozled me in to really enjoying a  New Adult book (or at least part of one). That woman has wiles.

I once again got sucked in to Kaitlyn and Martin, especially Kaitlyn. Normally I am all over the hot, broody males, and Martin certainly reaches that criteria, but Kaitlyn stole the show for me. I love my heroines hilarious and awkward, especially when they are hilariously awkward, so she ticked all those boxes, but I also liked her she looked at the world, which was earnest and insightful, maybe slightly naïve, but completely adorable. As for Martin, I have mentioned his sexiness..but is it strange that I like that I don’t like him very much? He has his ‘awww’ moments and I like how head over feet he is for Kaitlyn, but otherwise…what a jerk! I can’t wait for him to redeem himself.

I now wait with baited breath for the next and final installment in this serial, Kaitlyn and Martin have come so far, I can’t wait for them to take that final step!
