“NICE GIRL’S DON’T RIDE was just fun!” ~ Under the Covers
It is no secret that Roni Loren has carved herself a special spot in my favorite authors list. I will read ANYTHING this woman writes, quite frankly, because I know I’m pretty much guaranteed to enjoy it. That being said, I was scared to read this as much as I was excited because it’s a venture into a different genre.
The premise of the story, which is set up at the very beginning, caught me right away. The boy from the wrong side of town and the girl trying to fit in with the fancy crowd. I absolutely loved the fact that he’s just what she needs to bring out her true nature and let her feel comfortable in her own skin. But deep down my favorite thing about this story…. NICE GIRL’S DON’T RIDE was just fun!
Natalie is on her way to a fancy dinner with her boyfriend for her 21st birthday when her car breaks down and she’s left on the side of the road waiting for a tow. Meanwhile her boyfriend cancels on their plans because of his “work” and she’s thankfully picked up by Monroe, who happened to be driving his tow truck on the way back to his brother’s shop. What follow is fun and sexy and highly entertaining.
As much as the heroine isn’t my stereotypical favorite type, I immediately connected with her and wanted to see her get some happiness. She seems to have tamped down her inner most thoughts and desires in an effort to mold herself to what she wants her future to be. That includes being with the guys she thinks she should be and what he expects from her. All in an effort to overcome where she comes from.
But then we have the hero. Monroe pushes all my buttons! I don’t think I’ve met a Roni Loren hero that doesn’t leave me drooling and he’s no exception. He comes across as a bad boy with his image but is the farthest thing from it. And he’s caring and noble, as well as sexy and a lot of fun.
Fair warning that this story is pretty short and my one disappointment was the ending because now I’m left wanting to know what happens next. I wanted more! Maybe that’s left to be told at a later time?
“Lose the dress, beautiful. There’s only one scent I want you wearing. Mine.”
“Sanity is overrated.”

I get easily distracted by pictures of sexy guys and have tons of book boyfriends.I keep all my alpha males chained to my basement and guard them fiercely.*Back off bitches*I like to see Jason Momoa as a lot of those boyfriends, because ….. mmmmmmm JASON.MOMOA!
I’m a part time graphic designer (yes, everything you see on UTC has been done by me), run my husband's business from home and on a good day I’m a self appointed superwoman (she who can do it all).I love blogging with my girls and I couldn’t do it any other way!My first love is everything paranormal, but in the past few years I’ve re-learned to love contemporary romance.Every once in a while I like to mix things up with a historical romance, a steampunk or an LGBT book.Because I need variety to avoid book slumps.I don’t always need an HEA although I prefer one, and I love authors that can rip my heart out and make me ugly cry.
