Oops! We’re late! Yes, January is already a week in but here’s what’s going on at UTC this month. We’ve started the year a little more relaxed than usual, and guess what? That feels good! How about you? Keeping up with your New Years Resolutions?
Author of the Month
This month is all about that big releases. You might’ve heard of it? BURNED!! Annie is beside herself waiting for this book and she will take you on a Fever/Moning ride this month with some fun posts. Stay tuned for that!
We step away from books this time around and just look at hotties. I know you won’t want to miss the eye candy!
Join us in our first Roll Back Week of the year! I already have my book picked out, and I say book because this is a LOOOONG book so it may take me some time to get through. Clean up those TBRs!!!
With the start of a new year, January brings forth a new book from Charlotte Stein! FORBIDDEN will surely heat up the cold, wintery nights! Tessa Bailey also kicks off a new series called Crossing the Line. RISKING IT ALL and RISKIER BUSINESS has an abundance of dirtiness that will surely require a cold shower afterwards! And lastly, you cannot mention January release month without the oncoming of my most anticipated book of the year, BURNED by Karen Marie Moning. I’ll be counting down the days until then!
January is a big month for me with A LOT of good releases. I don’t know how I can keep up. I can’t list everything but here are my top five anticipated books:
-Bound by Flames by Jeaniene Frost
-Once Loved by Cecy Robson
-Caught in the Act by Kim Law
-Blood Slave by Kathleen Collins
-Hot Dare by Avery Flynn
I seem to not have a lot to look forward to in January! Crazy! What happened? But there is one book that I think you should read this month and that is NOTHING BETWEEN US by Roni Loren. I can probably recommend everything she writes but this book was so amazing it really did take me by surprise. And I loved every second of it. I think you should definitely check it out if you’re looking for something hot and emotional! It can be read out of order but why would you want to? The whole series is amazing! Another recent discovery of mine are two short stories by Ava Lovelace aka Delilah S. Dawson. They are more like one night stand type reads but I just love them. They are fun and geeky and hot. I think they are worth checking out if you’re looking for something different.
2015 is starting with a bang for LGBT-lovers like myself. And luckily, I don’t have to wait long at all for one of my most anticipated reads of the year. On January 2, 2014, Dreamspinner is publishing the 5th book in Rhys Ford’s Cole McGinnis series, Down and Dirty. I have loved this series from the get-go, and look forward to each and every installment. This one offers a little something extra-special, though. While set in the series universe, this book won’t focus on Cole and Jae like the others have. Nooooo, this one involves the indeterminable Bobby Dawson, and Cole’s younger brother, Ichiro. Uh oh!!! Oh I cannot wait to see what’s in store for these two, and for Cole when he finds out!!
