**waves** Hi Everyone, I’m Zoey Derrick. Author of several Sexy Romances including One Week (check out UTC’s 4 Feather Review) and the latest release Claiming Addison. Claiming Addison is the first book in the 69 Bottles Trilogy and it is the reason why I’m here today. Francesca asked me to do a guest post for you guys.
Claiming Addison is a M/M/F Erotic Romance that features three main characters, Addison, Talon and Kyle. Check out the Blurb for more goodies about this trio.
So today I’m going to share with you an exclusive sneak peak into book #2 – Craving Talon which releases on Tuesday February 17th, but before I do that, I’m going to answer one of the questions that I’ve been asked repeatedly since Claiming Addison’s release.
How is it that you can write such great, steamy sex scenes?
**chuckles** To be honest, I’m not entirely sure how I do. But one thing I do know is that when I write books, they play like movies in my mind. I can see my characters clearly from head to toe, literally. I can see what they’re doing, how they move, what their mannerisms are. How their lips move when they talk and so much more. It’s strange the amount of high definition detail my mind comes up with when I’m writing.
So, being able to see all of that, gives me the “birds eye view” of what’s happening with my characters and my fingers do the rest.
As for what my characters are doing – the steamy sex scenes – comes from imagination. Take your fantasy and write it down. Imagine what would happen to you or what you would witness in your fantasy and write it down. That’s the best way I know how to write a steamy sex scene. And no, writing hot sex does not make me blush, though it might have me reaching for something to satisfy… we’ll just leave that thought there.
Thanks so much for stopping by UTC and for hanging out with me today and I hope you’ll check out Claiming Addison.
And now… without further adieu, I present to you an exclusive UTC Preview of Craving Talon!
This conversation takes place in Talon’s point of view and him and Kyle are having a conversation about where they stand, with each other.
“She sleeping?” Kyle asks.
“She is. Do you want to talk here? Or…” This isn’t the most private area for a conversation. We’re feet away from the guys, in their racks, who are no doubt sleeping, but they’re still here.
“Your room?” He asks.
“I don’t want to wake her,” I tell him.
“Good point, we could go back to my room. It’s not private but…” He hesitates.
“Let’s do that.” I grab a Gatorade from the fridge. “Want one?”
“Yeah.” So I grab him one too and head back toward his room. Once we’re inside he sits down against the wall that separates this room from mine. I leave the curtain cracked, just in case Addison gets up or someone comes looking for us. I take a seat on the opposite wall, handing him his Gatorade as I sit.
“What’s going on, Kyle? You seem, off,” I tell him. I noticed last night he wasn’t his usual self, but I didn’t want to press. If I know Kyle, he’ll usually talk when he’s ready.
“Do you love her?” he asks, no beating around that bush then.
I take a drink and watch as his fingers play with the cap of his. “Yeah, I think I do.”
“Me too,” he says quietly. “So what now?”
“What do you mean?” I ask him.
“Between the three of us. Where do we go from here?” He doesn’t look at me and that’s strangely okay. I can tell he’s worried about this conversation.
“Nothing changes, Kyle. Nothing about her, about us, the three of us, the way we are, nothing changes. Just because we love her doesn’t mean we have to make her choose. What are you so afraid of?” I cock my head at him.
He starts talking and my eyes drift to the floor. “Loving her is easy. She makes it so easy because she is such an amazing woman.” I nod in agreement. “But I’m afraid of loving you.” My eyes shoot to his.
“Do you love me?” I ask him, trying to understand where he’s going with all of this.
“That’s just it, Talon. I don’t know and that’s what scares me.” He gives me his sad smile. “Loving her is easy, it’s natural. I’m…,” he takes a deep breath, “I don’t know if I can…”
