“..Avery Flynn did not disappoint. I enjoyed every bit of the book…” ~ Under the Covers
Avery Flynn is a new to me author I recently discovered and loved. Obviously, as soon as she comes out with a new book, I have to jump at it. Flynn did not disappoint with this short story. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the short length, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Miami Thunder’s famous linebacker is finally cleared to play after injuring his ankle the season before. First, he has to get his groove back in the public eyes. The task is to go on a publicity cruise and show his fans that he is ready to go. Unfortunately, even with his handler, Angie Diaz at his side, it wasn’t a smooth sail. Poor Colt, he just could not get a break.
Angie Diaz is determined to loosen him up and get him through this trip without any problems. But with a very temperamental player like Colt, it’s not going to be easy.
I enjoyed Colt and Angie’s story. Angie had the coolest job ever, it came with lot of perks. Who wouldn’t want to be a handsome football player’s “handler”. She is one lucky SOB; that’s for sure. Colt was sometimes an ass, but he made it up at the end by bringing his romantic side out. This story had a Top Gun Vibe to it. It really was cute.
Hot Dare is part of Dare to Love Kindle Worlds or Dare to Love series by Carly Phillips. Though I have not read any of her books, I’ve heard great things. There will be appearances and mentions of the Dare family members; Ian, Dylan, and Sophie. Fans of this series will enjoy the cameos, no doubt.
As I said, Avery Flynn did not disappoint. I enjoyed every bit of the book, I only wish it was longer. It would’ve been nice to see Colt in action during a game or practice. I’m not sure what Ms. Flynn’s plans are but I would love to read more about Colt’s friends and teammates.
