We are in full holiday spirit and what better way to spend the next few days than watching some holiday movies?  Here are some of the ones we watch time and time again!

Christmas with Holly – Fans of Lisa Kleypas will find this one familiar. Based on the prequel novella of the Friday Harbor series, CHRISTMAS EVE AT FRIDAY HARBOR, this holiday movie is just as sweet and charming as the book!

Miracle on 34th Street – Do you believe? I certainly do! I love this film, it is the perfect Christmas film, full of messages of hope, forgiveness, trust and all of that other sweet stuff that normally makes me feel slightly nauseous, but which I lap up at Christmas!

It’s A Wonderful Life – It doesn’t quite seem like Christmas unless I have watched It’s A Wonderful Life,  cosy up with your loved ones as James Stewart overacts his way in our hearts!

ELF with Will Ferrell – The PERFECT holiday movie. No other way around that. I love this movie and have watched it so many times. I don’t think it ever gets old.

BAD SANTA with Billy Bob Thornton – Another great movie! Billy Bob is the perfect Anti-Santa in this irreverent Christmas classic. It’ll make you laugh, for sure!

NATIONAL LAMPOON’S CHRISTMAS VACATION – National Lampoon Christmas Vacation is a classic. It’s a great time period movie and by that, I mean the 80’s . It’s a story of everything that can go wrong during Christmas celebration starring Chevy Chase. With that being said, you know it have you laughing your butt off. My favorite scene is when a squirrel jumps out from the Christmas tree…funny as hell.

THE HOLIDAY – I always get a little romantic around the holidays.  Shocking, I know, because I love to read romance, but it’s not a state I’m in all the time.  I love watching this movie because it has a great message.  Things aren’t going to make you happy.  What will actually make you happy is connecting with those around you.  Love those around you.  And it helps that Jude Law is adorable.

So what about you?  What’s your favorite holiday movie?

I’m more of a fan of Christmas TV shows. Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon, not movie). I will be watching A Christmas Story, but that is more for DH. I don’t hate it, but I limit him to one viewing during TBS’s 24 showing. 🙂

I have got to watch the Holiday. My stylist was talking about it the other day when I was getting my hair done. I set my DVR to record anytime National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Jingle All The Way, Jack Frost and there was another one I can’t remember right now.

National Lampoon Christmas Vacation is my to watch movie every year but I’ve been adding a few as the years go by 😉 Love, actually is one I love. The Grinch, Scrooged, and Elf are also part of my holidays movie list. It’s like it’s not Christmas if I don’t watch them LOL
